Would be good if you measured power output. My $8 solar charger is useless but shows that it’s charging it’s also huge for a backpacker. So needs to pack serious punch to be worth it’s price tag .
Pretty cool... might be able to rig it up on my kayak while I’m tooling around the bay. I already keep emergency supplies in a dry bag in the hull. I might as well use this dry bag for that.
Yes!! I suggested this awhile back. Would love to have it in a box. Even if you have to use by crank at least you can charge the phone. I think it's a great product.
That thing is very very cool! Diversity in generated power for various survival items like flashlights, battery banks, gps, Phone etc is a very smart thing to do. Thanks man for a great review.
You can also tow it behind your canoe or kayak and charge on the go. And although the WaterLily will work as a wind turbine as it is, they now have an accessory pack called the WindLily that converts the WaterLily into a bigger (more efficient/powerful?) wind turbine with larger blades and a universal stand. You just point it into the wind and Robert's your father's brother 👍
I freaking love it and hope it comes in one of our upcoming boxes!!!!but it really needs protection from the intake side to prevent any thing from destroying the propeller!!!
Okay so the yellow propeller points upstream not downstream right? I'm going to get one of these for our river property that we use for fishing and weekend getaways. Now maybe the teenagers will want to go with us because they can charge their phones haha
It seems to me that the form factor limits its usage to car/boat camping. While I have intentionally not purchased one, I think I would be pretty happy getting one in a BattlBox.
I bet if bigger cities that consume a lot of water put something like that in their water mains, it would be way more useful than these stupid windmills everywhere. Just a thought.
Late as hell ik, but you can get things similar to this that attach directly to water pipes, usually high pressure ones like showers and hoses , although they only generate about 5 watts
Water Lily would work in a pinch but with solar panels that power up phones and tablets and are compact and packable, would probably never use the Lily. It's a very yuppie looking invention. Would love to see it used with wind.
But the water lily can be used 24/7 as long as water is flowing while solar panels only work during the day with clear skies. Both have their pros and cons like the Lily won’t work during winter when the rivers are frozen
@@abes3925 ye i like it can turn into a wind turbine, i would be good to use this, with your solar powered generator at night time. I think it pulls 50-120 watts in best conditions.

15watts
😶 I needed this video. Thank You!!! 🤗

Sweet, what month is that going in? I might have to re-join for this...
I've had my eye on this for a loooooong time. Please put it in a box!

I was wondering if the water-lily could be used as a wind turbine too on a windy day if you could not have water near by.
He said that near the beginning of the vidjit. I think it would be a great product in both cases!
The new model converts to a windmill.
That’s really awesome! Where can I get one?
Very good idea
I hope we get this in a box sometime soon for camping season
Check out SAS-a-fras’s World we do Battlbox unboxing, would love you as a subscriber . After every box I check out your channel
How much power did it make?

Water proof glue some mesh in the front
That’s pretty awesome!
Thank you for the review
Great vidja. What is the setup to use it as a wind turbine? Thank you.
Hello guys great video
dope review
should have seen how long it take for a full charge
I would think the grate would be in front to protect the prop ...
That would make a great addition to battlbox for sure it would probably make me come back along with others that may have left
That's really cool

Nice video man
Keren 😁👍
I seen this on FB great product I want one
Wow this is great
What about using a meter to see what it puts out? Charging light coming on is all great but doesn’t mean a lot in terms of output.
Just got one of these at the thrift shop
Very interesting. I did have to pause it to pee half way through, but good job.
where can i buy one ?
Want one bad.
Would love to have that in my box
Now this is freakin cool
Something that you will be sailing or in a box
