There are plenty of people, including I think Thomas Sowell, who argue that the minimum wage actually helps employers keep wages down, and stifles the economic growth needed to produce higher average wages.
I can’t say they’re right (or present their full arguments in a short comment), but maybe one doesn’t have to be high to consider it, or a bad person.
