That moment when Kayo comes out to see the breakfast on the table and starts crying uncontrollably is one of the saddest things I've seen in anime. Right up there with Clannad and Angel Beats.

Might be because this is the 2016 remake/remaster that AKFG did. The original version of Re:re has a shorter intro.

In a funny way this all went full circle. I heard your original cover of this song and that cover made to decide to watch to anime. I wait for the Premier of the full version because my love for the anime. So in a way Nate introduced me to one of my favorite animes of all time.

Erased really made people feel what the character felt. And all the moments were perfectly executed, when he thought he had saved kayo but then she was missing the next day. I felt what he felt

MC literally lost most of his life due to saving Kayo and ended up with the saddest ending yet didn't even wait for him to wake up and just went ahead and married someone else. I know that this shows that MC didn't save her just so that they could be together but still way to throw someone under the bus
I know, when I finished it I was so sad that they didn't end up together even though it was clear they liked each other and she wouldn't even be alive without him. And the fact that she married the one that she never actually even talked to on screen too.
@king_julian9807 I think Erased was getting axed at that point, so it was rushed, I think cause it could have built up more plot to the story like why he had that power? Was the first timeline the wrong timeline? Why were the first few uses of his powers in the present, and why wasn't he sent back to the past when it first activated? Also, there is the mystery of his memories. Does he remember the previous timeline completely? One more question is Why him out of all people? He wasn't connected to any of the victims at all, so why was he chosen?
There are a whole lot of questions that I would have liked answered.
In the manga Kayo was actually very willing to wait to the point that she was spending the majority of her life outside of school to hang out with Satoru. It was his mom that eventually moved him to a far away health care facility that Kayo couldn't visit and thus she was forced to move on.

Is literally 1 to 1 Subaru's experience. He can't talk about half the reasoning behind his actions because of return by death, and every restart he's got a ticking clock to make different decisions and stop a tragedy from unfolding. And in addition to that, he has to keep watching his formed relationships reset and fade. This song's lyrics fit Re:Zero so well it's actually pretty cool

@@thelastgear8972 And I think that's lame. The girl he ended up with was the only one supporting him in the current timeline. She gave up a lot for him. I think it all balances out. He sacrificed for someone else, and so he ends up with someone who sacrificed for him

I remember listening to Nate's older cover of this in 2016. After hearing it I decided to check out erased. I was new to anime at the time and didn't understand the show I dropped it after one episode. When I saw this in my recommended I was suddenly reminded that the show existed. In a move that was a third nostalgia for when I first got into anime, a third boredom, and a third me remembering that liked the cover Nate did in 2016, I decided to check out the show. I just finished it this morning and I am so happy I did. I really loved watching it.

Yeah. Her being allowed to live her life and grow up is definitely a better alternative than the original timeline, but I’d be lying if I wouldn't have preferred Kayo and Satoru be allowed to get together.

I’ve watched this so many times in the last couple of days as I finished the show on September 4th 2020 (but actually like the 5th around 12:12~? AM haha). Seriously though I love this anime and song, it’s so beautiful and makes me cry. God I love this show and all the emotions that this song carries from it, truly a powerful experience. I’m happy I got to experience it! Kayo Hinazuki’s so cute!

The original cover he did was my favourite out of all of his songs. I was going through a lot of issues with friendships and relationships at the time. I was very sad with myself for not taking a lot of chances with a lot of people among other issues weighing me down. Then I saw he released this cover. I had already watched the anime about 3 or 4 times, it was one of my favourites and I absolutely loved the series. But my god, did Nate ever bring his all. I instantly preferred his cover over the original as it sounded so much better as a heavier rock song and his voice worked perfectly with the instrumentals which I found the Japanese version didn't do as well. I didn't know the english lyrics at the time either so hearing it for the first time really left an impact on me as I was able to connect with the lyrics much more due to my personal struggles at the time. Fast forward 4 years later and he releases this version and it still is able to comfort me and make me feel joy and solidarity with the lyrics. Thank you Nate for what you've done for me, even though you definitely didn't know you'd have an impact on me you very much did. So thank you
