Tiago Faria yeah kyoto saga is a prologue, so basically watch blue exorcist to ep 16 or 17 than watch Kyoto saga, after that go back to regular blue exorcist. everyone thought Kyoto saga was a season two.

Blue Excorcist was one of my first animes. The first episode I ever saw was when they found Kuro and I could never figure out what anime it was (it was on Adult Swim one night after I got home at around 1am from the races) and I finally found it on Netflix. I've since watched it all the way through about 3 times
As a fellow "B.E. is my favorite anime" person I highly recommend the mange. Def my favorite manga and IMO, it's even better.
