- From the same mind that brought you such classics as "M37" and "El Camino" comes the new thriller Tee Jay. Never again will you be able to honestly say you've never watched anyone pressure wash a Jeep Wrangler on a cold day in Kansas so you can check that off your bucket list.
This will be the first video in a typical slow moving disaster that this channel is known for trying to make a rusty old TJ into a mostly presentable and slightly reliable 4x4. Fingers crossed this is done before spring, or realistically maybe just hope that it's runnable within the next year.
I really like that style of wheel on your Jeep 😁👍 I would guess one of two things. 1: They jumped a ditch with it. Wouldn't take too much to warp the frame and still not show a buckle. 2: The frame in the floorboard area rusted and it was patched with the chassis sagging. That's my unprofessional opinion. It very well could be but I don't understand why the rear of the fenders look right and the front stops are not even touching. Seems like if it took a hit from a jump the front would be touching. It'll be interesting to see what happens once the front fenders come off.
Other than the torque boxes and floor pans being obvious, the tub will have to be pulled to see how bad it really is. I promise you it'll be a really good time lol. The seat and sport bar bolts are going to put up one hell of a fight so be very patient with them. As for the frame, hit it with a needle scaler and a wire wheel once the tub is pulled. I honestly think that it can be repaired using full length safety caps.
Most people will tell you to give up now and part it out. I think it can be fixed but the whole vehicle will need to be completely disassembled.
It'll be a gutsy project for sure and I'm all in for following along!

If that is a 3 speed auto the axles probably have a 3.07 gear in them. Otherwise it would likely be 3.55.
Yep, I'm sure you're exactly right but I didn't have my glasses so it was next to impossible for this old guy to decipher.
Is it possible that the body mounts under the A-pillar are shot? Maybe the fender mounts are fine, but the tub is sagging.
Not sure, it's possible but I didn't see any obvious tells.

I'm just a glutton for punishment. Besides, a video of buying a nice jeep that needs no work wouldn't be much fun.

Жду видео о Шевроле Шеви Ван или Додж ван. И вопрос. Почему в вашей стране многие не любят автомобили Форд, особенно джипы?
Still planning on the van video, just have to get the Chrysler running for that video since it's part of the van story. Sorry it's been such a long wait.
Not sure why others don't like ford cars, I just don't mess with many fords myself. Jeeps are terribly popular around my area. The Wranglers in particular hold their value perhaps better than any other make.

Я ездил на многих машинах но Гранада была самая комфортная и самая практичная машина. Это мое сугубо личное мнение. К своему сожалению я дал эту машину человеку для поездки и он ее разбил. Вранглер в нашей стране -- дорогое удовольствие. Очень дорого стоит даже в том состоянии как у Вас на видео.
