Older generations today, of which I now am, don’t give kids (under 30) nearly enough credit. Not just for their creativity and ingenuity, but also for their willingness to travel their own path and live an unconventional destiny. Kudos Young One.
@@rhondajohnston3084 , me too! I had a '71 VW camper that took me over most of North America. A little more challenging in those days. No solar or wireless technology or internet. And no nationwide gym memberships for showering. But some of the best memories of my life.
Love it when people take normal vans and change them into something amazing without spending $30K and up! Really tired of all the people with their converted Sprinters with "upgrades" that cost almost as much as the van. Thanks for the video!
Plus I'm pretty sure a lot of those people don't actually live in their Vans. They always look new as if they're just for show. Some of those van might even cost more than a house which defeats the purpose of living in a van
@ yes that's for the panels but you don't have a iron phosphate lithium battery that's expensive as f*** and yes I'm taking the total price for the whole van project is pushing 30k
At 71 I wish I could say I’ve seen it all, but I haven’t. As a child our travels were taken by car and Station wagon. We were a family with 4 kids and couldn’t afford traveling any other way. We went all over the USA taking Farm Roads when there were no highways. Even traveled to Central America by Van from Chicago as a Teen. The first time i flew I was 33 and only flew while working for companies throughout my Career. Just before retirement a friend from Chicago put me in touch with an RV Company in Florida which had me Literally Driving RV’s all over this Great Country of ours. Now my Choice of travel is my SUV. Didn’t look like there was mushroom in the van at first glance but after watching the whole video I can appreciate how he has created so much living space. Also the sliding fridge made a good stool. Fungi too.

Jacob, that is by far the best conversion of a low top van I seen yet. Your headed for big things and from what I've seen the mushroom industry will be privileged to have you. God bless, and be safe.
I admire this young man getting out of his small town to see the world. I have mad respect for his research and implementation of his ideas for his van. As an old man, I only have one small critique. In a front end medium to high speed collision, ALL of those loose items are going to become airborne and fly to the front cabin. Including that heavy piece of wood that requires the magnet. He has a good head on his shoulders and I would hate to see anything happen to it.
Awesomely inspiring! Love the "get busy living or get busy dying" no shenanigan approach. I'm certain there were challenges and naysayers but now your better prepare to answer the next call in life. Vision, Goal, & Work. An American Pioneer-U go!
Wow!!! I don't usually comment on RUclips videos but I am blown away. I have been watching hundreds of van conversion videos and this is by far the most practical and my favorite to date. AMAZING work!! I'll be using a lot of this for my rebuild. Thank you for sharing!!
👍😍I love the little details I don’t think I have seen implemented in other van builds, like the hidden trunk with the top that is opened with a Neodymium magnet, the sliding fridge on rails & solar pressurized shower. I want to know more about those items for if/when I ever get or decide to build out a RV van. Smart young man! He’s off to a great start! Truly a nice build. I especially like the bed and the simple way everything comes together. Never would have thought about putting the fridge on rails, but I like the versatility it provides.
Hi Jacob, god speed going the way of the Mushroom industry for sure. Im a 64 year old retired guy that is just itching to get out and live the life you do. But have a wife that is a diabetic in need of care for the most part & this puts a damper on the thing that I would love to do the most that would be travel up the coast and off to Washington DC and see Smithsonian, and all the historical sights that I can before I get to old. So what I see here is one of the best most lucrative personalized Econolines that I have ever seen! by that I mean I lived in this 1970 bubble top specked just for me, cops were never a problem because I never hid anything and kept on the up n up so they left me alone. living in it from1989 until 1999 had to part with her because of my work and other things. I’m about to build a van myself. I have no idea how to do anything from wood working to electric. I will be diving in to a van in probably about 6 months. Wish me luck!! 😂
Wow, I'm really impressed with the job you have done on that van. Especially considering you are young and this was your first van. You obviously have a lot of confidence and a great attitude!
Amazing build all around. Congrats! We just bought a 97 E150 conversion van with the high roof and fancy limo lighting (LOL... so cheesy, but fun) and we're getting ready to do some home customizing. Your build has some really nice ideas that we might consider. Thanks for sharing and safe travels!
I tried van life this month for 3 days. Using an Econoline work van. It was interesting. Gonna buy a van for van life next year. And build on it. RUclips is the best. So many ideas. This kid has a nice looking van.
Title is not click bait! Stellar van I love this kid! If anyone has info on the shower, will you reply? I’ve read the Econoline is an ideal build because it was manufactured for 20 years, making replacement parts interchangeable and widely available throughout the country if you break down. Love that your bed is practical also. Very very sweet build.
It's the first time that I see a van build like that, usually people do the bed at the back and they only have a small kitchen. This build is really smart and it gives me ideas for my future van built (which won't happen until a few years lol)
Some good innovations - I like that you haven't built it out with storage or partitions. So it looks more spacious. The fridge on rails and the swivel chair really opens it up. Nevertheless, with all those windows, I can't imagine living in it when the temp is under 45F....but I suppose the idea is to head south then!
I was most impressed by the solar shower setup, that's pretty cool and could be put on any kind of camper, could even plumb it to the inside of the camper.
This is definitely the coolest van I've ever seen. The sliding fridge is such a clever idea. It looks like a real mini home. I wish I could have him help me build one lol
I love this set up! Just bought a subaru forester, and I'm doing my best to build a camping/sleeping platform in there, and it's working alright. But now I wish I would've gone the van route!
Very cool. Awesome management of space. Love how the bed just takes up half the space. Like most that I have seen the bed consumes the entire space. Even extends a little. Have fun with your travels, sounds like fun.

I've learned so much from RUclips and trial-and-error. I'm very mechanically inclined so fabricating any solution for my needs is easy. Keep up the great work and sharing those ideas! My truck was broken into and a few low dollar items were stolen, so I really like your magnetic lock/foot locker idea!

Hey! I have the same type of van. Wondering, how did you do your floors? are you cabinets glued down or screwed? Im trying to find lightweight, low time consuming flooring style
Robert Villarreal floor is 1/4” plywood, then some cheap vinyl flooring I found at a local home improvement store. Cabinets are only 3 sided to reduce weight load. But they are glue screwed and cut to fit.
Love the van mod! I think it's a great idea to have a "garage". Keeps the "house" clean. I have questions! How did you decide on the size of the inverter? How many watts is your solar panel? And why just one battery? Do you have a link to a "how-to" for the solar shower/compressor set-up? :-)
The inverter size was decided on how much power I would need at one time to use a certain item. In my case a blender. Solar panel is 100 Watts. 1 batter costed a lot of money and it was less space/weight than doing 2 AGM batteries. I don’t, but there are plenty on RUclips, just for them.
Wow, I love this young guy. He's very interesting! Well spoken , a genius in the making. Give us your social media info so we can help you out and donate while you're on your Journey. 1st van 1st built intelligent! Look how amazing his Frig is, who would have thought? And I have seen thousands of videos since 2020, and never have I saw a sliding refrigerator🤷♀️! Please be careful & stay safe on your travels. Much love from South Florida 🍊
Good for you my young man I am sure you will travel many miles and experience many pleasures in your life adventure. Have a good one as they say here in Wisconsin

GREAT van conversion, but did I miss the bathroom part. GOD bless 🙏🙏 you with great travels. Be safe.
