    A family friend of mine worked there as part of the guys who fixed the rides. He was an engineer. 1 of his jobs he said he loved was doing what this guy looks like he's doing. Every night after gates closed he had to walk around & makes sure everything was turned off (various reasons) in the way of rides even if no repairs were being done. The last few years his job was downgraded to security as they either didn't bother to pay for repairs or got it done as cheap as they could by people who were not fit for the job for the last few years. He also has some spooky stories about being there after hours.

      Id love to hear some of those spooky stories

    • @catherine8579
      @catherine8579 2 года назад +3

      @@mmmacca He used to say that he felt like someone was following him & could hear footsteps behind him sometimes. He would hear voices & laughter as if there were still some people in the park sometimes only to find nobody there. Electrics would turn on or off on their own like lights, rides (just the power supply, not the rides as if people were riding), engines (that's why some of them filmed themselves checking everything was turned off so they didn't get in trouble for not doing their job properly), the music from rides would turn on. Seeing things out of the corner of the eye. He had a medium dog (healthy looking) accompany him around sometimes & nobody knew where it came from, where it lived, how it got in or out, who was feeding it etc, they never seen it when guests were there, when the park closed he tried to find the dog numerous times because he was going to take it home but never found it, some staff members would joke about the fictitious dog because they didn't believe it was real.
      I personally think a lot of the paranormal experiences was residual energy though because the park had so many people there every day so im assuming there would be a lot of left over energy at the end of the day.

    Does anyone recall the scar cave with the bars at the entrance to Transylvania. Had glowing red eyes and growling. Used to freak me out.

      @@Vmieee same! Haha ☺️ I was a scaredy cat as a kid but I was also fascinated by things that captivated me, and this was one of those times, so the creature in the cave at wonderland became a core memory of fear and excitement 😄 I always though it was some sort of beast, which got very confusing when looking up "beast attraction wonderland" considering how many "beast" rides there were haha 😅

      @@crookedgrave2664 I completely get you. It was weird but exciting! It’s a particular feeling as a kid (especially a kid who enjoyed weird shit!) experiencing something like that that at once fascinated and creeped you out!

      September 11 attacks, the 2002 Bali bombings, the collapse of HIH Insurance, the SARS virus, the bird flu virus, consistent losses on the Asian financial crisis, the collapse of Ansett Australia, the Iraq War and the 2003 bushfires all contributed to the park's closure.
