Method of Elimination Solve Simultaneous Equations 3 Step Method - Example 1

Learn the method of elimination for solving simultaneous equations with a 3 step method.
Once we choose which unknown to eliminate, say it's y:
- step 1: make sure there are the same number of y's in both equations
- step 2: combine the 2 equations (by adding them together or subtracting one from another) and eliminate y from the equations to then find x
- step 3: use your result from step 2 alongside either one of the two equations you were initially given to find the other unknown.
