Amazing that even though I'm a 4-year veteran of Command, I learn something new in every one of your videos. For example, at 17:58. I wasn't aware of the "Mark position" thing.
This isnt a game its a Job disguised as a game. But then again that's exactly what we paid for. I like the fact you have to identify targets before you think about how to tackle them. Unless ofcourse the scenario starts you with the targets already identified.
What I found to be effective to the point of bieng OP is the EOTS system on the F-35. A passive system with a 100nm range on a stealth platform. It can identify its own targets from far away then attack without the enemy ever knowing it was there.
Baloogan no, but he is why I play the CMO series. Sat intel is covered in the video towards the end. Short version: Make sure you have line of sight and are in range.
They have very limited range at night, and this is dependent on things like moon phase. Cameras have reduced efficacy through broken/scattered clouds and can't see at all through overcast.
38:30 So if we confirmed the 6 planes were lost in the tomahawk attack, why did our recon plane performing a post-strike assessment tell us there were still 6 planes at the base? That would make me think I needed to order another strike.
Their individual weapon/sensor systems are modeled fairly well, but they literally drive up to get into range and then unload a stream of weaponry at the target until destroyed. I've simulated classic tank battles, but it ends up being about who can detect whom first.
@@PGatcomb I mean for Recce. It should be, if you can get them on target safely, really good. Also, is the Baloogan Wiki defunct now, I can't get it to work? That Visualxxxzoomlevel value seems super important and useful to know but I can't find any indication of it in game DB, how do we tell the ability of the optic in question without it? Thanks for all your vids, large amount of work I'm sure, nice job.

OUTSTANDING video! You have opened up a whole new world on how awesome this game is for me. So much more enjoyable to play with all this immersion!
This was a real treat, thank you. This sim gives a real education with the right teacher (and of active play time).
Another absolutely phenomenal video :)

Brilliant Tutorial thank you explains a lot!!!
That's a really good tutorial!

Definitely. The opponent ends up having to hide in the cloud layer if present.
That’s the point of the F-35
THANK YOU!!!! This helped me tremendously!!!
Great video!
Best CMO tutorials on youtube by far...are you related to Baloogan? :) Can you do a lesson on satellite intell sometime? Thanks

@@PGatcomb Awesome, thanks
Enjoying your video. One question on the long range cameras, do they work the same at night? And do IR cameras work through clouds? And daytime,?
They have very limited range at night, and this is dependent on things like moon phase. Cameras have reduced efficacy through broken/scattered clouds and can't see at all through overcast.
Just picked up this game trying to learn everything I can
Same here... It's so much! :-) A great tutorial to keep repeating until you master it is Peeling the Onion.
2500 hrs and still learning lol...

That is weird. The losses and expenditures confirmed the skills too, maybe it's the debris?
@@PGatcomb Thanks for the reply. I absolutely love your videos! They're so helpful.
Another great video. Question if you don't mind....are you prior military or just a huge fan of military hardware/tactics?
I just really enjoy the topic and have player this and it's sequel quite a bit.
Based on his knowledge if he was military he probably wouldn’t tell you ;) But then he probably wouldn’t make these videos either :P
WOW!
What about infantry units? How good or bad are they in this?
