What a glorious hymn of the church with such powerful meaningful lyrics representing the inner cry of the heart a cry for more of the manifest presence of GOD to be revealed amongst His people "Come [HOLY SPIRIT ] and thy people bless, and give thy word success , Spirit of HOLINESS on us descend.'' Yes I agree 100 percent i heard some terrible versions. I love the classic opera type version. The so called modern version is horrible.
The original version is Holy spirit inspired but the new age modern version is just off..
