TELA "Sho Nuff" was off of the album Piece of Mind released in 1996 on Suave House Records. The video was directed by Chris Robinson and the single was produced by Jazze Pha.
Super Dope beat! I bought this album when it first came out and I thought TELA was going to blow up but that is the game. Still one of my most favorite albums ever.
Shouts to the chicks in this video, who was selfless enough to make america great, with there contributions to the culture...... Yall are/were appreciated! Real MVP shit! A lot of yall have grown into wives, moms, grandmas, etc etc, and theres no judgement on my part, theres somebody for everybody.. id like you to know, with all humility theres no US without you! Dont let a mf tell you that you werent the shit, regardless of what you did or didnt do in this video, be proud of yourself. You was having fun at the time you know, caught up in the moment, so salute. You probably got saggy breast, a wide womb, and guilt from this video but youre a example to this generation of what not to do! 😩😂😂✌🏿
I felt so seem when they put this song in the movie " the players club". I was only about 11 or 12 but I was like " wow, that's a shout-out to southern rap". What i liked about southern rap back then was that a lot of our rap music was booty-shacking, club/party music. Which is a reflection of southern culture, we like to get together, cook, dance and have a good time. But by the late 90s that had changed. Labels like No limit and cash money popularized the street rap culture, at least that's the way I see it. P.s. this is not a diss to no limit or cash money, I loved them back then.
This song saved my soul.... I became a pastor with this song.... this song has been circulating for 100 years.... When I seen my opportunity I took it and became a pastor.... You can win souls in God's saved life you just have to remember that you are saved from birth....Amen
KILLER SONG!! i USED to listen to this CRUNK / SOUTHERN RAP / HIP-HOP growing up in hs, but as of 2008-2012, i was SO BUSY listening to OLD SCHOOL HEAVY METAL & OLD SCHOOL ROCK & ROLL, that i forgot about all this CRUNK / SOUTHERN RAP / HIP-HOP. however as of some day in 2013, i was all of a sudden thinking about 8Ball & MJG, Tela, Three 6 Mafia, C-Murder, Silkk the Shocker, Bubba Sparxxx, you name it, & as of 2013-present, here i am listening to CRUNK / SOUTHERN RAP / HIP-HOP yet again. funny how the mind works.
I remember arguing at school after we heard this on the radio. I thought he was sayin “cuz in the club” for some damn reason. Eventually one of us got the album version and played it and killed that argument. Still one of the dopest songs, the beat the lyrics, just straight up pimp shyt.
This that down south, 15s in the back beating down the block, swanging them dubs on a summer day when them ladies standing out in they booty shorts and nice legs type of vibe🫡🫡
Probably me. I saw a clip of a comedian playing this song and I couldn't tell what it is cuz I got my volume low. But come to find out: I've heard it before, just wasn't in my rotation so I didn't recognize it.
