Thanks for posting this video. I just bought an older Craftsman toolbox where the ball bearing sliders don't slide very easily any more, so I want to remove them to I can clean them and re-lube them. There are a million videos that show you how to remove the drawers, but none of them show you how to remove the sliders from the inside of the cabinet. Yours is the first video to show that, so you answered my question. Thanks again!
Thank you buddy this is awesome video. I just bought a craftsman 2000 box like yours in the back I was wondering how I can bring the big drawer up above to fit my sockets and boom here’s a video you’re very relaxing to listen to, rock on. 👍
From what I remember the rear hooks in by pushing from the front to back, while the front hooks by dropping down from the top. You would have to drill out the rivet to allow it to move it enough to reset it. Best of luck
The holes on my toolbox are 5/32". The drawer slides lock in with clips so there is no weight on the pop rivets. The rivets just hold the drawer slide in place. Since the end of the pop rivet expands (mushrooms) you should be able to get by with just a tad smaller (1/8") if you don't have 5/32" rivets.
My problem is drawer slides are no longer available, you slides are new style with the release tab, older slides you can't find anymore, I know this has nothing to do with your video.
Excellent video. Very easy to understand. Thanks!
Glad to hear the feedback. Thanks.
Helped me alot. Your vid was the ONLY one that goes beyond rivet removal - great!
Glad it covered something useful for you. :)

This is a great video! Thanks for sharing! I was planning on doing this to my 26 us general box
Great to hear. I never thought about doing it until I was over having the tools not in the drawer order I liked. Good luck!
Sweet. I have the 41 inch Rolling workstation and I'm planning on replacing the deep drawers with smaller ones..

Do you know where I could buy more slides? Was looking to get more to add to my tool cart, it only has single on my drawers
Sorry I'm not sure if it where you could located them. Best of luck to your search.
One of slides is unhooked at the back. Can I get back in place without drilling rivet? Thanks
