  • Here's my review of the excellent light weight ultra-compact folding guitar stand from Nordic Essentials. I like it a lot. It's only $19.99. Pretty cool since you can fold it up and put it in your guitar case with your guitar. You can buy it at this link:

    I’d love to see you review anything. Something about your vocal quality and your sincerity and belief in what you’re saying is comforting.

    Just what I am looking for! Incidentally, I had the same problem with my bass and it turns out Fender makes a stand for their basses that has an adjustment on one side. It works like a charm.

    I just bought one of these little stands today, very cool, light and easy fold out. Have got my bass resting on it quite happily. Have got a lightweight bass, as you rightly say, it's a nope for a Fender Jazz bass

    Hi, great demonstration video.
    I see that at the end of the video you show also a violin in it.
    Can you or anyone that already have this stand please tell me if this stand can hold a violin that has a shoulder rest on it?
    Thanks.

    A-Frame stands are awesome, unless you leave your guitar cable or wireless plugged into the guitar. It will bust your guitar cable pretty fast.
    I love A-Frames to put most of my guitar in, except the ones I'm playing consta tly and leave plugged in.
    I'm looking for a stand that solves that, is stable, and unobtrusive... But all the guitar stands that do are huge and/or expensive.
    The self-lock-in hurcules is sai to deteriorate in a matter of 2 years.

    Thank you for the review
    It looks like a good stand
    But I wonder if it will affect the back of a guitar long term

      It's very soft rubberized material on all portions that touch the guitar. Also, in this video I didn't know it will extend out even taller than what I show in the video - so it's even more stable than in my demo. It's the stand I keep beside my amps, ready to play in my studio. Quite good!

    is there room for the instrument cable to remain plugged in on the bottom?

    • @tonyleeglenn
      @tonyleeglenn  9 лет назад

      Guess it depends on where the jack is located and what kind of cable end you use. I'll test tonight with various guitars and see. I imagine straight cord with a Les Paul or Tele might be problematic. Strat or ES-type probably no problem. I'll report back.

    HeyTony. Thanks for the vid. I have been looking at all kinds of stands until my eyes have fallen out. I decided on a single stand because the 6 and 7 guitar box stands seem to always have a flimsy issue when people comment. Im a metal guy. Is this stand you are advertising good for a Gibson Les Paul Custom or Gibson SG Standard? Thanks for your help!

    • @tonyleeglenn
      @tonyleeglenn  8 лет назад

      It's pretty good. I honestly never extended it all the way to it's full height in this review. I learned later that it would go higher than what I showed. About the 7 guitar stand being flimsy though, there is one really nice one that is very sturdy that I can recommend. Check the one in this video before you settle on a single guitar stand: ruclips.net/video/SWi5EhPMiEI/видео.html

      Tony Lee Glenn Thanks for the link. This may be what I need since I always seem to be a guitar stand or 2 short of my guitars. Everyone is saying it is pretty durable. Thanks for the fast reply.

    So the $64 question can u use it plugged in?

    • @tonyleeglenn
      @tonyleeglenn  7 лет назад

      +nfn16076 So many different options for which guitars you are plugging in. For instance A Strat definitely , a tele definitely if you have an angled cord. I don't know I have to go back and check if you have a straight end cord. Of course cords are little bit different too. Kind of a tough question to answer that one. Also I leave most of my guitars on stands unplugged until I'm getting ready to play them. So pretty good stand either way.

    • @nfn16076

      Thanks for ur prompt response. hi, I have a taylor acoustic and I leave it plugged in when on stage as I switch off with uke, etc. I would like a light ez stand but obviously it needs to accommodate a cord protruding from the bottom, I like that lightweight stand but it looks like it sits right on the ground with no clearance but maybe not. I can't tell as ya never showed it with a plug. Any chance I'd Doing that? That's kinda what everybody wants to know.

    • @tonyleeglenn
      @tonyleeglenn  7 лет назад

      If the jack is in the strap button, I'd say it won't work. If further down on the slope of the guitar body then probably would work. It's about 1 inch above the ground at the button - about 3.5 inches at the location many other body-mounted jacks would be positioned.

    What stand would you recommend for an Explorer guitar??

    • @tonyleeglenn
      @tonyleeglenn  8 лет назад

      +Abel Moreno Wow - tough shape on the bottom. They are a bit more expensive, but I'm thinking you'd have to have one of the Hercules Stands like this one at Musician's Friend: www.musiciansfriend.com/accessories/hercules-stands-gs414b-bonus-guitar-stand-pack-with-neck-cradle

    They are now selling for $35.25. I'll stick with the larger one for $19.99. That's way too much money for that stand. If it was still 19.99 it would be a good deal but not worth $35.25. Why the big increase in price? Just lost a sale.

      +Diane Easterday Don't know why they increased so much. Here it is (same stand I think) for $17.99 - www.amazon.com/dp/B00VE76ING?psc=1
