I love the
Roland ad at the end of the vid... Great stands.
Hercules stands are fine out of the box. But they have a real problem with their rubber grips decomposing (becoming sticky at first...then literally falling apart). The company doesn't offer replacement parts. Same problem with their mic stands. I would highly recommend another company.
Totally agree!
This was an issue they have solved. If you have a stand with the sticky grips, contact service.usa@khsmusic.com and they will take care of you.
@@robwelch3472 well , implying you kept the receipt... years later/ and you got to be in the us
Yeah they seem Well built at least for the 1st month I purchase 3 of these and over a short period of time same thing happened the handles began to melt Rubber and plastic almost impossible to get off of your hands and flooring I don't know what kind of chemicals they use but extremely dangerous especially if you have small children I have been playing for over 30 years on the road and studio And have used a variety of The products But have never seen anything like this A complete and utter nightmare As the company stays silent I see this becoming a class action lawsuit
Just cause you spam this on videos doesn't make it any more true. I use hercules stands and they are perfectly fine.

Update Hercules replaced the stands and explained the issue. I currently own 7 stands at this time, and I do believe they are the best
Is there any company you would recommend, especially for a bass guitar?
@Anxter I have to make a retraction Hercules stands They are a good company they replaced the ones I had issues with. There was an issue with their plastic and rubber supply. They have been redesigned. I have 7 Hercules stands in my studio at this time with no issues. I use high-end guitars Paul Reed Smith Gibson custom shop
At the star it makes me think of kids opening christmas presents
Great !!
Which one is safer and more practical between the GS401B and the GS301B for an acoustic guitar, to play in rehersal and in realatively calm live situations (Church, Jam session, pub) ?
UPDATE Edit: Salient to electric guitar use, I've altered my perspective, with apologies to Hercules. What I'd stated earlier (see below) was INdeliberately misleading.
For electric, either the would work well, and I can now personally attest the GS402b actually does in fact. After initially preferring it, I too, was tossing up between it and the GS302b due to a since revealed questionably false allegation of fault reported in a review I read. When further inquiry revealed it questionable, I selected and bought the GS402b. I'm glad I did. It's a top design and quality stand in the style I wanted. One of my electric guitars is sitting securely on it now.
Any guitar with a traditional style rounded bottom, i.e. Strat, Tele, LP, SG et al with a bit of heft to the solid body will sit very stably on the stand. It should accommodate an ES or similar semi-hollow body i.e. Gretch style guitar just as well. Just watch out for the contact point if the back is not flat.
And I am pleased to report I was completely wrong about my perception of Hercules foam back bumper based upon video & image sight alone. Despite being a foam It's in fact a high friction bumper made of a resilient compound which should last an aeon if it doesn't break down chemically. As long as replacement bumper spare are available through an easily accessible to all distribution chain at a fair price, it's a winner AFAIC.
Hercules even include a slip of paper with the caveat re potential reactivity of the foam with some paint finishes, presumably ancient nitrocellulose and lacquer finishes which have become unstable with age. I've only just received mine, so time will tell, but experience informs me tough as nails Polyurethane should be fine.

some for bass?
Totally not happy with my Hercules stand. The rotating finger that holds he guitar head onto the stand, suddenly flipped up. Instantly, popped and will not function anymore. $50 for a years worth of guitar stand. Maybe placed my guitar on and off it 100 times max. It took a month to get a response from Hercules. To assist me they wanted every bit of information off the receipt that I didn’t have - including the serial number which aI would have had to have saved the box too! What the…! Another former user, Sh*t out of luck. I just wanted help to repair it. Nope. No resources online. Shove-off Hercules and your overpriced imported junk. I’ll buy a rip off model that’s illegally using your patent(s) for half the price and probably get a longer life out of it.
Useless test or display.
