If you have the time....do you think double stand with one guitar or triple stand with 2 would be more stable? Maybe an impossible question....ha....thanks again. ie....what is standing there while performing.

That's as good as a stand review can get. Well done! Would you recommend using the Hercules with 2 guitars and eventually a bass when gigging or if most of the time there will be only two guitars would be risky to weight it to only 2 of the 3 sides? I just don't want to buy the 3 guitars option if could tip over easily when having only 2 there. Cheers, Thanks man!

I've been using Hercules stands for couple years now, and in my opinion they are outstanding. For home use I've been using the GS415B PLUS (replaced recently by GS412B since my cat used the leg pads for scratching his paws :D) and for stage I've been using the Triple GS432B which never failed me.
As for the guitar back rests being loose in the Hercules Triple Stand GS432B once it's folded, there is a trick - as you are folding the stand you have to put the back rests underneath the neck rests, so the locking mechanism claws hold them in place. Nothing floats, everythings secure!

I heard that Hercules rubber becomes sticky. Is this true?

@@toosoa4617 Never happened to me and all my stands are Hercules. Sometimes a rubber part can become welded if heated but that can happen with any rubber. My stands went through hell and they are all good - also hardly any rubber there, as most pads are made of very firm foam material.

Here is the one caveat with the Hercules. The clutch mechanism is prone to exploding. Watching this video the clutch handle seems to be different so maybe Hercules resolved the issue. But having that happen to a $100+ stand that I used religiously scared the hell out of me and has made me not trust the brand. I was just thankful that it did not happen when I had instruments on it.

I had the onstage for 2 days before 1 of the 3 tiny welds that hold the pole to the base broke and the stand became wobbly. That wobble would eventually cause the other 2 to break as they flex every time it wobbles whenever u take a guitar out or put on back. When they break your guitars will crash to the floor.That stand it garbage because the welds are as minimal as possible.Even worse, the top also has 3 tiny welds, and when they crack it will be an even worse danger, as the guitars will all fall over sideways instead of hitting the floor at the bottom of the body as they would when the base welds give out. That thing is a catastophe waiting to happen. The one in this guy's video has no foam donuts on the holders which tells me his is an older model which may be stronger which might be why his has lasted. Mine is the newest model as of late 2023 and it's obvious how shaky those tiny welds are and i would recommend you dont buy this stand. It's otherwise a great design i was extremely thrilled with till 2 days later when it failed. Too bad because all the cheap ass manufacturer would have had to do is weld them all the way around and it would be IMO the best stand of it's style out there.
