I get it. This was so beautiful though. A pet peeve of mine is always when the end doesn’t quite have the finishing flourish that suits the rest of the song, whether it be upbeat or slower. I couldn’t even guess why it cut off right before it ended.
I'm not sure which theme I like more from The Boy and the Heron - the Granduncle motif or the Ask Me Why set of songs, but I think this kinda settles it for me. Ask Me Why might be my favorite Joe Hisaishi piece now and this is a gorgeous cover, thank you!
