Here are some tips, the 2nd generation iPad Pro you have will only use the 1st generation Apple Pencil, but it still works as good as the 2nd generation Apple Pencil. Secondly, it's important to charge the 1st generation Apple Pencil once a day, because if it loses all power, it'll die and it won't work anymore. Thirdly, when doing animation on Procreate, each layer will be counted as one layer, or one group of layers will be counted as one layer, so it's best to choose a canvas size that'll give you a lot of layers but also look good.
