I have read some of these. However, I am genuinely surprised that you did not mention these two by Mark Douglas: 1. The Disciplined Trader, and 2. Trading in the Zone. They have helped me tremendously in the mental/emotional aspect of trading, which is the biggest challenge I have faced in learning to trade.
Have your book and read it cover to cover in less than a week. Highly recommend. Currently reading thinking in bets with quit up next. Thanks for this! Stay green!!
Ross, was managing the emotions and making yourself follow your strategy (not jumping into anything thats moving etc) one of your major turning points? I feel so close but sometimes just get so fired up bc I have put so much unnecessary pressure on myself to perform and the FOMO lures me away from my strategy and those are the days i get crushed. I do really well when I am able to just stay calm, cool and collected. I appreciate all the free content. I know you make money on RUclips and its a way to market Warrior (and rightfully so!) but you give so much more free knowledge than anyone out there. Its really incredible!! Thank you
Day 3 of my papertrading journey... I got my ass handed to me. Down about $170 on my little $1000 account and feeling pretty darn rough. After my losses yesterday I did some serious looking over my trades and studying why I lost those trades. I came into today thinking I could turn it around and was promptly reminded I don't know jack yet. Gonna study up again tonight and try to make tomorrow a green day, even if it's $1.
Enjoyed this video ross, I still like old fashioned methods you know, reading books, but as I spend so much time watching tutorials on my I phone about trading, which 95 percent are yours I might not get time to read one, but that does not mean to say I never will. I think to myself as long as I am learning from you I believe I am going to be successful, so onwards and upwards for me, no turning back now. Speak soon Bill
I’m am new to your channel. Thank you for laying things out in a way that is both interesting and easy to understand. Do you have a video where you layout what tools you use? Like the stock scanner software for example? Also do you use things like trading view? Any information you or anyone in the comments can provide is appreciated.
1. The Candlestick course - Steven Mison 2. Trade Mindfully - Gary Dayton 3. The Inteligent Investor - Benjamin Graham 4. One Up Wall Street - Peter Lynch 5. The Happiness Adventage - Shawn Achor 6. Dark Pools - Scott Patterson 7. Secrets of the Soes Bandit 8. How to Day Trade (the plain truth) - Author of this video
You have to think a lot of these old books were written before online trading. You had to call your broker and pay $40 to buy and wait until WSJ printed higher to call back to sell.
I bought some books on Amazon but actually books were good back in days when there was no you tube or not much contents on you tube. Nowadays things are different. I found out that you tube has way more contents that those books.
Read most of these books and have to say best most updated Psych book on trading i've ever read is 'The Mental Game of Trading' by Jared Tendler. If you already know how to trade using technical analysis and are at that next stage of the psychological hurdle holing you back, then this one is an absolute must!
I wouldn't think that collection would have spawned a master trader. You started out with a candle stick book (that was a lucky and good move). Only my last two books focused on candle sticks as I thought videos would be enough (absolutely not true. Books are a must with candlesticks). That was a cool story about you reading about deep prints while sailing on your boat.
I'm ordering this today still very new but watched a ton of content like many new traders I'm not seeing the language yet I jumped out of amp this am at a loss when it should have gained me so either I followed the rules or I didn't I'll have to go back over

Good luck! Expect 3-4 years AT A MINIMUM of losing real money before you figure it out. You could be an exception, of course. I hope you are... :)
I bought your book today. Can't wait to read it.
Ross, your book is great. Seriously. I hope you write another one.

why all of the over animated gestures recently? is that the authentic Ross?
Can someone please post the list of books. Thank you very much
LOL
I'm surprised that Technical Analysis of the Financial Markets by John Murphy is not in your list

Question: Pros and cons of investing through an IRA versus day trading please?
