We need a shared Dino saucers Dino Riders universe. And while we're at it let's throw in Dynowarz: Destruction of Spondylus is a game by Bandai for the Nintendo Entertainment System.

Also, in the one episode (and don't ask me how I remember this one joke from this one episode so clearly), The Dinosaucers and Tyrannos decided, of all things, a football game would determine who had the right to remain on Earth. Secret Scout David sent Bonehead to have fresh, "new jerseys" made out for the Dinosaucer team. The result of which is, of course Bonehead comes back with fresh team uniforms for the Dinosaucers, emblazoned with a silhouette of the state of New Jersey as the team logo. Even as a 9 year old child, I groaned at the pun.

These guys were huuuge in Mexico in the early 90's, everybody with a pulse here who were kids in those years remember them fondly and we were always baffled that we never got any toys whatsoever. Being that their release here more or else coincided with the release of Jurassic Park in 1993, they have so much of an audience that they make the rounds on reruns to this day.

    YOU DID IT!!! YES!!!!!!
When i stumbled onto this channel a few years back i think the History of SilverHawks was the 1st video i watched. i can't remember how many there were at the time, but it took about 2-3 hours in 1 sitting in the middle of the nite to watch all the 'History Of...' videos. i loved every episode, & really hoped 1 day you'd do a video on DinoSaucers, but aside from everyone remembering the theme song it was such an obscure & brief series without a real toyline, i wasn't sure you'd get around to it. Then you did an Oddities episode about the (would-be) toyline, & i think it was maybe a year ago you did History of Dino-Riders & a few others that didn't last as long as DinoSaucers did & that refueled my hope this would be coming...eventually. No question, this is my favourite channel for childhood nostalgia & i've lost count at how many times a little 10-15 minute video from you guys has been the highlight of my week. THANK YOU!!

It's pretty wild to think that both this and Dino-Riders, pretty much the most brilliant kids show concept ever (Star Wars meets Dinosaurs) weren't huge successes. I seem to VERY vaguely remember seeing the show as a kid. I def. remember and even had tons of Dino Rider toys. Great video, I love seeing anything Dinosaucer themed, Gosh do I wish it would have been a hit. I'd have been ALL over this toyline as a kid. I mean even take into point Ninja Turtles basically went there with the Triceratons. That was one of my FAVORITE TMNT figures and it's...well...BASICALLY a Dinosaucer in a manner of speaking. Same concept. Also I had no idea Uslan made them. That's so cool!

    • @georgezee5173
      @georgezee5173 Год назад +1

It's very wild that they never were a bigger thing, as you said. I'm from Spain and I'm pretty confident they never aired Dino-Riders in Spanish TV (I basically watch EVERY SINGLE cartoon the aired), and yet, I perfectly remember going with my parents to the biggest shopping mall in my area back in 1992-1993, as a 6-7 year-old child, and going crazy with these toy figures of over-sized dinosaurs with futuristic armours and laser cannons on them. It was the best thing I had ever seen in my life! And yet I think that was the only time I say those toys, to the point it took me years (if not decades) to figure out this was an actual toy and it was based on an American cartoon. With Dinosaucers what happened here is that kids would love the show but there were no toys being sold (or at least they weren't massively distributed). I remember my grandma bought me a comic of Dinosaucers as a birthday present. It was a proper edition, with a hardcover.

I always categorized this one as “also on TV.”
It had all the elements, but maybe I was just a year too old to be a fan. Or maybe it wasn’t that good. I can’t remember a single character’s name.
Now Dan Larsen, that’s a name to remember!

That was about the same with me. Two factors: One was I was 12 going on 13 when this originally aired. I was still into Transformers, GI Joe, and MASK even though most of those properties had jumped the shark and didn't feel like following another property. The second was I've never really been into dinosaurs like any "typical" pre-adolescent boy. Never watched Denver, this, or Dino-Riders. Just wasn't my thing.

Hans was a huge help in getting a couple prototypes made of my small press comic book character. He does amazing work!!

I was one of the people that loved it. I looked forward to watching it when I got home from school. It reminded me a lot of Transformers in terms of overall concept, but there was room in my heart for them both. :)

Loved the show, wanted the toys once I knew they existed (thank you for that, Dan!)
Glad someone is continuing to keep this property alive!!

Some of my earliest memories of my life were watching Dinosaucers. Their command center was so cool i always though and the theme song kicked ass

I'm not the only one listening to Dan talk about the main premise of the show and going, "Wow. It sounds like they ripped this show off in the Super Mario Bros. movie"?

I got to meet Michael Uslan when he spoke at the local university a few years back. I remember him talking about how this cartoon was one of the things that got him through to making that first Batman movie. Providing the money needed to keep the rights. We owe the Dinosaucers a debt of gratitude for without them there would probably never have been any of the Batman movies.

I was born in 87 so I was too little when MOTU then Thundercats came out to really convey through words what I felt. This was THE series of my childhood. Dinosaurcers was the reason I began collecting dinosaur books and it's the reason I know the names of hundreds of dinosaurs to this day. Dinosaucers is the reason I even learned how to read. Dinosaurcers is my thing.

I swear to Godzilla, every time I think that Toy Galaxy has infiltrated my subconscious, probed my long forgotten memories and then turned them into episodes for their channel, they always find a new one!! Haven't thought about this series since 87'. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
