I was dissapointed when I got the JBL Partybox 310 until I installed the JBL App and used the equalizer. Get the bass from equalizer higher with the trebles, believe me its gonna blow ur mind how powerfull it is. Bass boost doesn't do anything until you increase the bass from the equalizer itself.
