I own a 6th generation Camaro SS, but I'm always thirsty for the 5th generation Camaro design. In particular, the headlamps, tail lamps, and side design of the car will make me happy just owning this car. So, I looked into buying the 5th generation Camaro SS in 2023, but in Korea, there is RS, but the V8 SS model is rare and difficult to find. Instead, I am vicariously satisfied by watching GV's channel. Thank you for sharing the great car and great exhaust sound.👍
cant wait to trade my v6 camaro for an camaro ss. i got a 2015 camaro 2lt RS convertible and looking for a 2020+ Camaro 2ss. i cant wait to try out a 10 speed camaro. finna be a game changer
Honestly, the 5th gen Camaro RS was super underrated, power wise and all. I understand that some might like the journey of building and such, but most people gradually come to accept that it’s better to just start off on a 5th gen Camaro SS. Me, personally, I prefer the manual V8 models, or the 19+ 6th gen Camaro V8 models, if they have to be automatic (10AT). The 8AT (8L45/8L90) in the GM’s were so defective, it’s just not worth it to own them in the long run, unless you get them upgraded/built… If you can get a 5th gen SS 1LE or ZL1, do it. Hell, if you save up for a Z28, do that. You won’t find any MORE pleasure than a 5th gen Z28…. that’s peak; even more so than a more accessible 2008+ C6 Corvette Z06…
@@gamingspirits9160I started on a 5th gen Camaro 2SS manual (LS3) coupe, and I would’ve opted for a 6th gen 1SS or 2SS, maybe even 1LE. What kept me away from the 6th gen V8’s, was the harder ability to work on them. Working on the 5th gen Camaro V8’s is sooo much easier in my opinion… They do have a few discontinued OEM parts, depending on your year model, but it’s not super common yet. 5th gen Camaro V8’s are depreciating, and it would honestly be worth it alone to get a ZL1….. or even a Z28 (peak 5th gen superiority). I would love to own a 5th gen 13-15 manual ZL1, over any 6th gen 1SS or 2SS (non-1LE), auto or manual.
I want a cut out myself, what did you get ? Great driving, gorgeous car btw, the 6.2L badge on the side is hard! I’ve never seen a Camaro that color that with the yellow is 🧑🍳 😚 lol
@@mikehogan5087 “Duhh” you sound dumb bro it’s a genuine question, you must not realize how weak these 5th gen’s axles are especially swinging it like that.
Hey man nice car where did you get your seats? I’m looking to get a 2010 2ss as well and those seats look like something I’d want with red instead of the yellow

Some people have this issue, and it’s honestly a hit and miss. It’s a preference issue, and I would personally rather have mine engage a little lower personally, as well. My engagement point is maybe like roughly ~1-1/4” off of the floor, and it never really has a really solid biting point, which is what makes it hard to “find”, let alone feel. I honestly came from working on a lot of manual transmissions, which had clutch delay valves, and I almost believed that this car came with one stock, but I guess not… The stock clutch is just kinda finnicky for some folks. As for the pedal pressure feel, I got really used to it, but made my own clutch return spring and even kept the stock clutch pedal support springs. I’m contemplating actually removing the factory springs since the DIY clutch return I’ve added, gives it more of a false (simulated), heavier pressure clutch pedal feel. This might make it hard to tell if there’s issues with the hydraulics…. Regardless, I’ve been driving with the stock clutch pedal springs, along with the clutch pedal return spring, and it is heavy, but you get used to it. I actually had my clutch return spring break once (cheap DIY setup first time around), and the stock clutch pedal actually felt so light, even with the original support springs in.
also bro when changing the gear in manual you grab the stick in the moment of changing the gear, not like 2-3 sec before. its also unhealthy for gearbox to drive and keep stick in your hand
I’m just curious… does the level of interest in your Facebook Marketplace ad listing for the car INCREASE or DECREASE after you post new videos of you hooning this sucker?! 😂😂
Hello sir, I am a manufacturer of automotive modification products from China. Currently, we have a fifth generation Camaro instrument panel that is compatible with the original car information, equipped with a front and right view lens, and supports Carplay connection. Are you interested in ordering it and trying it out?
I’ve been babying mine and I have 35k now. I try to use fuel system cleaner and top engine cleaner every few months, as well as changing the transmission fluid and diff oil with every engine oil change. I also swapped out the crappy leaking factory oil cooler/heat exchanger, with a custom thermostatic setup, going to the oil pan feed (no leaky oil filter sandwich cooling adapters). I started running 0w-40 motor oil like my 2nd engine oil change into owning the car. I have a 2010 2SS LS3 coupe, and it did have a light ticking that quiets as it warms up; which I had a friend with a high mileage (165k+) L99 with a similar tick. Both he and I run oil stabilizer and some other things (which I may not soon), although he stayed with the stock 5w-30 oil specs, and we thought it was noisy fuel injectors (also a common issue). Regardless, I only current have FBO and a custom street tune. I recently installed an oil catch can, and it looks like things are fine. I might’ve overfilled the motor oil a bit, so I got quite a bit of blowby into the oil catch can. I may eventually get the LS3 in this compression tested…. I don’t have cats in right now, although even if I do have them in, I usually run a quart or two of high zinc/racing formulated motor oil; usually either 5w-30 or 10w-30 in weight (diluted 20w-50 I’ve tried before). I’ve used Lucas high zinc motor oil or Valvoline VR1 racing motor oil (supposedly has extra moly and ceramic additives, on top of the extra zinc and phosphorus).

I wish I could do this to my SS. Sadly, I live in California.
The exhaust set up might be legal there for noise. Not sure for emission tho
No shops will do it here. They can get shut down and not a risk they are willing to take
