As a Chinese, it really make me swell up with pride everytime I see just how much progress this country has achieved, and continues to do so. Not many people outside China know just how much this country has endured to get to where it is today. War, famine, invasion, crippling poverty, you name it. All these are hard-earned progress, built on the sweat and blood of the Chinese people who wants to build a better future for everyone.
Been to Shanghai multiple times, and this video made me miss Shanghai a ton. Great camera work and video quality. It truly is an amazing and safe city. Highly recommend everyone to visit it if you get the chance.

I work there right in the BFC. I feel quite fortunate to walk these streets every day. The BFC shopping area and office towels are pretty cool, designed by Foster+Partners. It's a pity most tourists have no idea about this place and instead just go to the usual overcrowded places in Shanghai. Good to see that someone is helping to promote this area!

The music is calm and fit pretty nice with a night scene like this. Very great job :O I honestly really discovered soo much about a city that i have absolutly no idea until you made thoses videos. Well, i m aware that i know absolutly nothing about China... I only know a few things here and there, but nothing about people, cultures, art and all. And i didn't expected the chineses cities to be like this... i'll be straigth honest, this put a huge, absolutly insane big shame on France. i'd say 3 cities, Changsha, Shenzhen and Shanghai, alone have put France into a shame place. I know you not gonna think like this and think France is beautiful and all. Well, i guess i can't argue XD, it's a bit similar to me saying China is beautiful, but for you, it's just your everyday life hahaha XD. But seriously... Paris (the biggest and best city of France, obviously) is really far far behind the chinese cities... never getsuch amount of joy, discovering many things and all this decorations and style. Paris have "brutal" style, like, old building and stuff... but outside of that, it's way too simple, too "standard", there is nothing to attract tourist or please people, or simply to help Paris inhabitants to relax (the park are super small and simple, far different from Chinese ones). When i see all the cities you show me in China, they dont fall into the "standard", they work very hard to keep attracting people with amazing arts and styles, decorations all over the cities and all. It's like fireworks for the eyes and the mind. But made with architectures and stuff. not with explosions and fire. XD I thougth Shanghai were a dark city, with pollution, many people living there stressed , many traffic jams and super noisy city. But i see that i was all wrong. It's a very cool city with lots of love spread all around and nice people. Like rpetty much everywhere in China. I just hope one day, people here will start to realise how China really is. Not anymore that bad country with bad economy and all. But a nice developed country with very clean and respectfull people. LOL, i should talk about the video. But there is soo many things... I dont want to be censored by RUclips for doing a too big comment XD. Soo, yeah, i hope what i just say will do it. That was an amazing trip in Shanghai. Both crazy and amazing. Nothing else to say. I was more talking about the fact, the French mayor/governement doesn't seems to put much love and effort into the city than chinese people do. I m aware that China also have his bad places and all, it can't be perfect anywhere in the world. But China put soo much into beauty, relaxing, and everything to make the city nice and attractive. Visited the bund in 2011 and dined in one of the most expensive restaurants right by the river. What an amazing city and experience I had. Now watching the bund 10 years later in this video, I hardly recognize the place. It’s getting more glittering and more glamorous by the year. Paris of the orient.

China needs to keep it's society the way it is now. People are peaceful and respectful of each other. No thugs and criminals lurking the streets at night to rob and kill people. Totally opposite the US.
Do not worry, China will never change the way they operate their society anytime soon, lol. Also, for the record, crime is committed literally by a global scale, and not limited to the United Sates. Since China's population is roughly 4.2 x that of the U.S., I would argue you would have a higher chance of encountering a 'thug' or 'killer' at night rather than in the U.S. Nonetheless, Shanghai is a beautiful city.
@@sejiva Civilians are not allowed to carry guns in China， so at least there won't be mass shootings. Revenge killings cannot be avoided, but they generally don't occur in public places. The probability of indiscriminate knife attacks in public places is extremely low, and if it does happen, the best course of action is to run faster.

You should think about a special music, just for your channel. Some kind of unique music made for it. So that when people hear the music, they are like "Oh ! that's the music of Walk east !" XD.
To be honest, i didn't mind at all the 2 minute covering the copyrighted music, its almost invisible (or similar for the ears, i forget how they say that in english XD)
i love your channel. I'll be here all the time, and i will try to catch up if i miss something :D. My girlfriend also love your channel and when you post a new video and i m at work or else, she quickly tell me about it :D
Funny thing, i m not fan of China. i prefer Japan. But you show me how different China is compared to what we hear and see usually. You not only show me the beauty things, you also show me things that others doesn't. Like when you go in a small alley and get stuck , hahaha XD. every others youtubers who show China just show the touristic zones and such. I like to see the small people of China and how they live. And thank to you, now i know lots about China :D

Visited the bund in 2011 and dined in one of the most expensive restaurants right by the river. What an amazing city and experience I had. Now watching the bund 10 years later in this video, I hardly recognize the place. It’s getting more glittering and more glamorous by the year. Paris of the orient.

The Fosun Foundation Cultural center designed by Norman Foster's Architecture firm and Thomas Heatherwick's Design Studio is the coolest building I've ever seen. I love the bronze tubes that are made to look like giant bamboo shoots.

China needs to keep it's society the way it is now. People are peaceful and respectful of each other. No thugs and criminals lurking the streets at night to rob and kill people. Totally opposite the US.
Do not worry, China will never change the way they operate their society anytime soon, lol. Also, for the record, crime is committed literally by a global scale, and not limited to the United Sates. Since China's population is roughly 4.2 x that of the U.S., I would argue you would have a higher chance of encountering a 'thug' or 'killer' at night rather than in the U.S. Nonetheless, Shanghai is a beautiful city.
@@sejiva Civilians are not allowed to carry guns in China， so at least there won't be mass shootings. Revenge killings cannot be avoided, but they generally don't occur in public places. The probability of indiscriminate knife attacks in public places is extremely low, and if it does happen, the best course of action is to run faster.
