OMG.. when Niki talked about going to the club, just drinking water and just loving the music... that was ME.. I always, always felt dance was like a religious experience, with joy. And yes, Madonna's earlier works were joyous, danceful, etc. I loved the remixes.. so I was so happy Niki mentioned this. "Like a Prayer" and "Holiday" are my fav Madonna's song right next to Ofra Haza's "Show me" and "Im Nin Alu". and yes.. the dj's I knew were gracious enough to play these.. :).OMG. I DID find G-d and joy, spirit and fueled my path towards to reconnecting and redefining my own spirituality and Judaism. Happy times..

when i was a dj the owner told me never ever ever play black music because black people do not pay for liquor, they drink water. He said he didn’t want the black people staying there. That’s what your comment reminded me of.

I just saw niki perform at the Catalina Jazz Club in Hollywood. The voice is STILL as clear and strong as when she was backing up Madonna. She gave a great show and was gracious with the audience.

Such a great interview. I do agree Madonna should bring back Niki Harris and Donna DeLory. Some of Madonna’s best stuff we’re with Niki and Donna. With those fine vocalists back, Madonna wouldn’t need to use the auto tune the way she does in her later stuff. I love Niki, I remember during the Drowned World Tour, Niki stopped by the spiritual Agape Church where she performed on a night off from the tour. I just happened to be there too in that church audience. She was incredible.

Truly - just asking - not trolling. Is Madonna performing at age 65 that poorly executed or is it JUST cuz she’s older? Please try to respond without a fight or no intellect - TIA!

OMG! Those injuries, Niki! I loved the Drowned World tour, and the dancing was amazing! Also, the costumes, hairstyles, and dancing were so on point, making this tour one of Madonna's most aesthetically memorable, imv. By chance I went to this concert, thinking I would see an icon in concert singing her past hits, but what I witnessed that night was so unexpected and spectacular that I became an instant fan.

This interview was so uplifting. I was so obsessed with Truth or Dare growing up and it’s so true that Niki and Donna rounded Madonna’s sound off… not only that, but I also believe they were integral to Madonna’s earlier persona.

EXACTLY...Donna and Nikki did give her a sound....one that unfortunately she is unable to duplicate with her current backups ( good too!!)... New subscriber here 👍

I remember getting Madonna's "new" album at the time and after a listen something was missing.. the magic wasn't there. And then I come to find out there was no Nikki Or Donna on it. Yep, they are her sound.

Agree. I loved watching the three of them together. The tours Madonna went on later on after Niki & Donna's departure lack something. There was more technology included, bigger stage, some special effects but that would never make up for the two "stage pals".

Madonna's inability to embrace looking back, is why Niki & Donna will probably never sing with her onstage again. Their background vocals always enhanced her and made her shine, and when they left, a lot of the magic in her live shows did, too: there's no denying that. In my opinion, she has been lost ever since: the older she gets, the more desperate she looks.

Love Nikki (And Madonna..And Donna). That said - C’mon Nikki. Be real: 1) There NO way you never heard the name “Madonna” or ANY of her music when you dropped everything, left a solid, paid gig with the ‘Righteous’ Bros in Vegas…and flew to audition for some unknown artist!? 2) Madonna ONLY inspired n taught you. What would happen if you ceased expounding on thirsting for “TRUTH” and actually spoke it, shared it!? I.E: Oft times, Madonna treated you, Donna, everyone but especially her ‘Primary Person’ (Brother Christopher) as Narcissistic Toys! She couldn’t even make the wise and fan pleasing choice to come to your show seats at MSG/NYC show, hand you n Donna two mic’s..and Thrill us all by singing a few bars of “RAIN.” Instead she ‘PLAYS/ MANIPULATES’ you (under the radar) by bringing up Kelly Rippa. Too obvious. 😏

Its so disappointing to hear people like Niki say she has found God and then in her own dialogue she is hesitant about saying that and she retracts and sugar coats it with "spirituality, pure love, whatever you call it." If you found Christ, who is God...then dont be apologetic about it. Be bold for Him. Dont come at it with your world catering gimmicks because then, your declarations of finding God are bogus and of no effect to spreading the truth of Christ to a lost world. So, let me ask you: Have you truly found Christ? or is this simply a way of trying to find a way to fit in or being relevant?

    • @luca_ducky1963

What are you on about? lol. I’m sure she used that language so that she could apply what she was saying to all people not just Christians. You don’t need to constantly shove Jesus in peoples faces to be a Christian.
