why do you hit pins and vicious strike on mahet, like front=minus max defense

Just making sure front kick can be re-applied easily and helping us dodge a little more - might not have been necessary but we had very bad gear at the time and this was only our third time at Mahet so still figuring out the best way to play the fight.
