Nice review! Grapple was one of the few "expensive" Transformers (not a minibot) that my mom bought for me new from a store. So, he's always had a special place in my heart. I still have my G1 figure, I have WFC/Earthrise Grapple (with a nice upgrade/gap-filling kit), and Newage's Grapple. I don't feel the need to add another to my collection, but this guy does look pretty cool...
I have not ventured into stylized Transformers just yet bc I'm still busy collecting toon accurate G1 Transformers. However, some of these Iron Factory Samurai Series are very tempting to me.
He looks really good. I absolutely love how he holds his hook in robot mode, very menacing. The samurai series has to be the most original transformers toy line out there Man, I can't wait to for my samurai series Lambros. Great review Deluxe, started my morning perfectly.
None of these "Japanese" styled figures have really looked that "Japanese" to me. They need to turn into really old, authentic things (horses for samurai, old carriages, etc), mythological Japanese monsters or legendary beasts, etc ("kirin", etc) and/or have loads of kanji and/or other traditional Japanese inscriptions and greebling adorning them too. The robot modes need to look more like traditional Japanese warriors and/or period costumes. For inspiration,"Musha Gundam", the "Takeda Shingen" mech or even the samurai styled Starwars figures (storm troopers, Vader, etc) could be used.
It's a cool figure and all but doesn't quite fit the samurai theme and on top of that Grapple is an architect not a warrior like inferno or prowl. Great review again❤😊
for some reason, i think Grapple holds together better than the Inferno. its seemed smoother to transform. i know its the same exact mold but that was my copy maybe. i don't know. im a weirdo. lol
Got the inferno of this mold recently and I really like it so I’m tempted to get grapple. But I’ve been spending a lot of money on iron factory recently. (Like over $200 in the last two months over the five I’ve bought) so I need to spend less money. The temptation IS there though.
Also. Out of curiosity, do you own any Planet X figures and what do you think of them. They’re the other 3p company I own the most figures from, but they all have some kinda issues despite how much I like them.
@@DeluxeBaldwin I’ve been eyeing that shockwave. I have their sunstorm and I think it’s one of if not the best out of the four I have. (Sunstorm, Star Saber, Deathsaurus, and Victory Leo). The other contender for the best being Star Saber. I really want their Thundercracker as he’s my favorite transformers (I have an ever growing shelf dedicated to him), but the only listing I can find for him is over $1000. The main issue I’ve come across between their figures is they sometimes make tabs and pegs too big or their holes too small. On star saber I literally had to cut off a couple tabs on his legs cuz the back panel wouldn’t come out and the force felt like it was going to break the hinge. And Deathsaurus had all the pegs on his legs be way too big and I had to sand them down. Oddly victory Leo is the most solid of the bunch, his only issues being a very loose thumb and that he’s Victory Leo. But aside from all that I think they’re good at nailing the concept of transformers as toys to play with. Which is why I really like both them and iron factory.

Ok thanks for watching this 👌 😀
When seeing some of the poses in bot mode, I kept thinking to myself "Are you lifting something heavy or just happy to see me?"
Lol 😆 thanks for watching this 👌 😀
✌😃
Now do a bulkhead and hauler from this mold😅
I wouldnt mind that at all! Thank you very much for watching this 👌 😀
Iron Factory is a bit of a mixed bag for me. Some offerings I really dig and others not so much. One thing I always enjoy is a Deluxe review.
You're too kind! Lol 😆 thanks 👌

So far I have Thundercracker, seaspray, and inferno, and shockwave and samurai grimlock on the way. Pre ordered killbison and drillhorn also.

I dont think he will sell out so you should have time to pick him up later. Thanks for watching this 👌 😀
I have starscream and he's ok and their shockwave which is really good.

What are you gonna do it if i dont keep on topic?

Supersiya😮
Thank you very much for watching this 👌 😀
