(I don't even know if the process is right or not lmao) : (Sorry for my bad english) - First the number of 1 yen is the most annoying to find it : 20 coins = 2 x 5 x 2 70 yen = 2 x 5 x 7 In the two multiplication, the common number are 2 x 5 = 10 So I do 10 (coins) x 1yen = 10 yen so there is now 60 yen and 10 coins left, using only the 5 and 10 yen. - Second, the number of 5 yen is a little bit annoying to find, so I thought : "How many coins of 5 yen do I have to use to have 60 yen?" The answer is 12 coins (5 x 12 = 60), but 12 is too much, we only want 10 coins! So I did a number lower than 10, since we still have to use at least 1 coin of 10 yen. 9 coins of 5 yen? (9 x 5) nope! It's make 45 yen, we can't fit a coin of 10 here it would make 55, and we can't put a coins of 5 yen since the limit was 10 coins and it would make 11 coins in total! 8 coins of 5 yen? (8 x 5) yeah it would work!! It's make 40 yens, and to have the 20 yens left, we can have 2 coins of 10 yens! 2 coins (of 10) + 8 coins (of 5) = 10 coins and 60 yen!!! - So the final answer is 2 coins of 10 yen + 8 coins of 5 yens + 10 coin of 1 yen = 2 x 10 + 8 x 5 + 10 x 1 = 70 yen!!
