That’s only 20% loss at 1075. This is more than 1100 crank hp. Underrated or what.
Even at 20% loss it makes over 1100 he did the maths wrong when calculating the crank hp it makes 1121 to the crank 20% loss is 1121 X .8 = 897 wheel hp

Dave Saleen yeah but turbo’s are restrictive that’s the way they are and the power is essentially made when exhaust gas goes into the turbo. So to make more power in a turbo car a bigger exhaust manifold would be much more effective instead of a bigger exhaust.

Odd that Dynojet Research doesn't know how to do basic math. All he did was add 20%. He didn't calculate for a 20% loss. And I'm not so sure it's 20%. Just inaccuracies all around.
HP isnt true unless they plugged in the numbers for 4th gear and did some corrections.. 4th is 1.290:1 so a mechanical advantage as it isnt matching the crank speed output. 5th gear is apparently 1.057:1 or slightly off... but at least closer to 1 to 1 - they need to redline 5th gear to get a better grasp on a near true HP and Torque at the crank - not that it matters. Wheel HP is wheel hp. Provided a search found the right gearbox numbers.

@@cfiorucci True, I think that 10-15 percent is way too high, probably around 2-5 is accurate because of a high flow exhaust.
believing that sticking some random exhaust onto this machine will get you 10-15% more power is an insult to bugatti engineers

I know you're excited Houston, but the first dyno graph you showed states the max speed was 156mph, not "over 200mph". Which you said was in 4th. In fact, at redline, the maximum speed in 4th gear is 164mph. Redline in 5th gear is 201mph. So I don't understand why the guy says it "shifts into 5th at 195mph". That's just not reality, period. But the last run was obviously in 5th gear, and you got 857whp, which is closest to reality.
And shifting gears is not what will make more power. You want to dyno the car in whatever gear ends up being closest to a 1:1 ratio between engine speed and wheel speed. Dynoing in any other gear will give you either more or less than reality. You are correct that 5th gear is the closest to 1:1.
No sir, you are reading the graph that was shown wrong. If you read it again, you will clearly see that the 156mph was WHERE (At that speed) it made the max HP it calculated. It does NOT say its the MAX speed of the dyno run. The MAX speed is all the way to the right, listed after torque. He even stated it made 897hp at 147mph, which was the top part of the graph. the 156 was listed below in the blue.
@@homehustlerz248 I'm not wrong. I said max speed on the dyno run was 156mph. It made max power at 147mph and max trq at 88mph. I wasn't reading the graph wrong. The graph reflected reality. The first 2 dyno runs hit close to redline in 4th gear. 4th gear tops at 164mph. The last run was in 5th gear and 5th maxes out at 201mph.
Houston stated it hit over 200mph the second run. It did not. It hit 156mph.

Dyno ramp rate bears no resemblance to real life acceleration. They can set it to allow the rollers to accelerate at whatever rate they want.
