Multiple wallets aren't a bad idea. It makes access easier. Plus, having a fresh unopened one makes loading up seed words easy from memory.

I bet if they changed it to dark mode it would save the battery even more and be easier to look at on your eyes

Ledger devices have never been hacked. Now if you want to give your keys for storage to someone else, can’t really help you with that. Why on earth would anyone want to do that?

I dont like hardware wallets with batteries. Batteries are junk after a few years and unless theyre disposable, you need to buy a new device. Trezor is the best for long term self sustainability

@@frustratedmajority851 thanks for your reply. I’m leaning towards Trezor I think. I don’t have big amounts but am I right in thinking cold wallets effectively mean your assets are hidden? I’m thinking if I ever got rich and a future wife wanted half when she inevitably leaves me for the milkman 😳🤪🤡🤑😂

Ledger DID NOT released Stax yet!!!

They did not "release" it, they "unveiled" or "announced" it. It's still not released yet.

@@atattooedtraveler6416 What are you talking about?
It was announced back in 2022 for release in 2023. Then, 2023 came and went and it did not release. They JUST began shipping the preorders for batch #1 on May 27 to June 11th.
Released mean's you can buy it now, and have it in your hands now, actually using it now.
Announced means you know that it is expected to be a thing.
The difference is that when they announced it, they still had not actually even physically created one. They had mockups of them, models even, but no real product.
They had manufacturing difficulties surrounded by internal doubt from their team if it was even possible AFTER they announced it.
I preordered, but I paid in cash. So because I did this towards the end of the preorders I am in batch # 3.
Here is the e-mail they gave in regards to when it would be shipped.
"Ledger Stax will be delivered in three batches, referred to as Batch 1, Batch 2, and Batch 3. All three Batch delivery windows are estimates, with exact timing coming soon. Batch 1 shipment is expected to begin between May 28th and June 11th, Batch 2 is expected to ship between June 12th and June 24th, and Batch 3 is expected to ship between June 25th and July 8th. You have been assigned a batch number based on when and how you ordered your Ledger Stax."
Literally it could not be any more clear that it was not released ya'll are saying it was "released" it was only "announced". No one is saying they are not going to release it. I am just saying that it was not officially a released product at the time. You have to wait for it to be released, to then call it released. The only reason that matters is some people are impatient, and cannot wait, and want it NOW. Those people, are going to be very pissed when they try and get one in their hands that day and they can't. I don't think we need to be leading people to believe they can get one before they are even in the stores (aka released).

I was interested in leger items until I read about their data breach and that their stuff isn’t open source which suggests they’re not fully confident in their security. Am I wrong to be wary? I’m kind of leaning towards Trezor. Anyone know a great wallet interface/hot wallet to use with Trezor or any other cold wallet/hot wallet combo? A pretty confusing space.

I still dont understand the cold storage software and how it works - are they user friendly? For some reason I imagine it like programming language. I am in the process of transfering my crypto off an exchange and I am terrified.

By the way why you’d need to ‘stax’ loads together is beyond me. Maybe if you were trying to hide your assets and only wanted £50k of btc on each one? At that rate I’d need 100 of em (lol. As if :) )

Wear a ledger around ur neck and go to the hood...
Stack multiple over each other so government or anyone else gets all of them at once
