Imagine the PTSD these ATC folks have from this day. Your watching this happen. Especially even harder for those who can see the towers because it makes it even more real. Those who stayed at the jobs years after or still there imagine the anxiety when a plane disappears or isn’t responding or behaving oddly. God bless all of them. I never really thought about that before. I am a 5uicide loss survivor and found my best friend 5 years ago. It was a bloody crime scene to me because I didn’t know he took his own life at first. It changed my life. So looking at 9/11 looks so different now. So so different. I keep saying I am so happy that people don’t understand trauma at all the way they judge peoples behavior by how they respond or think they think they should respond. I’m sure many of these men and women suffer PTSD. Just another new appreciation for heroes like this. The video from Kennedy Airport. That woman was beyond incredibly impressive. Where is she? That is a woman who deserves the Women of Courage award. I want her to have one. She was the absolute best at remaining calm voiced for her pilots. Jill Biden doesn’t know a woman of courage if she’s runs smack into her.
I would estimate the recording starts about 0932 EDT, plus or minus a few minutes, based on the times of the Pentagon crash and the order to stop all departures. This would be about half an hour after the second WTC crash and 27 minutes before the South Tower collapse.
