"That's me put my towel down so no one else can be here"... absolutely hilarious and great light hearted humour. Another example of the best fed man on RUclips camping, steak sandwiches! Phenomenal 👏🏼 Great to see your outings as always and looking forward to more of the same 👍🏼
Stayed in this Bothy many years ago before it burned down. We were on a nine day trip from Fort William to Kintail. Good to see that the MBA have resurrected it.
Just found this, Im 65 and unhealthy at the minute. Soon I will be well I hope , and you will keep me going till then thankyou for these wonderful treats Regards Stuart Bell
Great video . A bothy I go to just for a walk some weekends. It was devastating when it went on fire , nothing left but the walls. We say it as Glen ‘ doo lee. ‘ A great climb is to go up onto Gulvain from Glenfinnan and then down to that glen and Bothy for the night .
Thanks a lot John for the pronunciation help as well as for the tip with the tour which I will for sure look up. Can only imagine how sad it must be to see it after the fire... Thank you very much! ATB Stripey
Looked like a great spot and great dinner! Liked the look of your quilt with the pad straps too. I’ve seen it before in videos but not such a close look at the straps. Such a good idea!
Thanks a lot Tam! Yeah we had a great night out, unexpected but stunning location which I wouldn't have seen otherwise. The 'feast' was actually an ad-hoc decision which we both made in the supermarket on the way up 😁👍. ATB Stripey
Perfect bothy trip 👍 I've only been there once many years ago before the fire can barely remember what it looked like then but fantastic location, great video !
So your taking it easy recently , no inhospitable summit to go camping and pretending its fun like I see on some other RUclips's channel , just to get views 😐 . What did you bring to the bothy ? I saw an ecological log but there was an other bag , charcoal ? The view was amazing along the path , when I see a little stream like that I alway's wonder if there is trouts to fish 🎣 Thanks for the video 👋
Is all about the joy of being outside and this time Robert and me decided actually in the car that the wind is just to strong and cold to have a nice summit wild camp...would have been more a 'survival mode' and we both didn't really fancy it. In the big bag was charcoal for a long lasting fire to have it comfy in the bothy. I was actually looking out for some fish but I couldn't see any - not sure but I do imagine that there is some trout in!? Thanks a lot for watching mate! ATB Stripey
Thanks a lot mate! We parked just a couple of hundred meters up the street at a lay-by. I think there is place for 4-5 cars when I remember correctly. Thanks Stripey
I'll bet the original owners of the house wouldn't have had steak, cous cous, sun dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts ever! Hot porridge every day except Sundays I'm sure.
I loved the fire grate with the thistle design. I’m glad you showed it.
Aye, is really beautiful. Actually a lot of fireplaces I have seen in bothy's have the thistle design on it😍.
Thanks a lot for watching,

Ha ha ha! Towels on deck chairs.... Love it. Great vid, that's a nice looking bothie! I miss Scotland!
Thank you very much Jim!

I’m glad they had a sleeping platform in by the fire. Thank you from NZ for taking us on these trips. 😁
Thanks a lot for watching Janis 😊

Great video Stripey. It's a fine bothy. Only ever visited on the way back from Streap. Liked the towel quip. 😂
Thanks Kev! Streap looks like a cracking hill - just so difficult to pick the next destination for good weather conditions....
I’m binging your Bothy vids and I have a complaint. These should be 20 mins long at least!
😊😊
Hahaha thanks a lot mate 😎
Amazing friend
Thank you! Cheers!
Great video as always, looks a beautiful place.

That was a perfect little bothy camp. Robert needs some faster shoes, he's always miles behind you 😂
Stay safe and well Stripey ☺️
Adge.
No no, it just was as I am not so good with talking, it is easier for me when I am 'alone'.

Nice video and Beautiful nature.

Yeah is quite a great system to keep the quilt in place 🙂
Cheers Stripey
Great video stripey.
Looked as if you and Robert had a good night.
Nice steak sandwich 🥪 😋 👌

Hey stripey whereabouts do you park the car for the walk into this bothy mate. Great video again 👍
Thanks a lot mate! We parked just a couple of hundred meters up the street at a lay-by. I think there is place for 4-5 cars when I remember correctly.
Thanks
Stripey
Great wee video. But, I'm literally angry that you did not dry those steaks (with a piece of paper towel) before seasoning and placing in the pan 😡🤣
That is very true Dale! For my excuse, we had no seasoning 😂, for not drying? - no excuse...😮💨
Cheers Dale!

Another interesting video and great to see you enjoying your steak sandwich 🥪
I'll bet the original owners of the house wouldn't have had steak, cous cous, sun dried tomatoes and artichoke hearts ever!
Hot porridge every day except Sundays I'm sure.
Very likely Alistair 😂.
ATB Stripey
put my towel down hahahahaha!
Nice video Stripey Guy but you're murdering the Gaelic. The bothy is pronounced Glenn Doo Lee I believe.
Yeah I know and I am actually sorry for that 😔👍
What trousers do you have?
Not sure which one I wear in this video, probably the blue&black ones…if yes they are the RAB torque trousers 👍
Cheers
Stripey
Bothy was damaged by fire, so they line the whole building with varnished wood.
Notice how none of the older hikers stripeys hikes with are ever heard from again... muhhuhhah (joking of course)
😂😂😂
Really glamping now lol
Glamping? lol that is more 5 star hotel 😂👍
