They could have pulled the obvious betrayal tonight but I am glad they didn’t do it yet. Adam Cole and MJF are the hottest act in AEW currently and they deserve more time as a tag team.
I don't watch AEW but I keep track of this story. I thought that MJF would betray Cole, but I'm happy he didn't because that would be too obvious.

This is actually a very clever storyline, AEW get to test MJF as a babyface without commiting to a turn, MJF gets to wrestle weekly and build up a résumé of great matches to actually back up his bragging, and he gets to show some range and depth in his promo's and show he's more than a one trick character!

Exactly. AEW wrestling are always/often fantastic! But it:s the weekly storytelling that will make a person rush and tune in week after week to find out what will happen next. Both done to perfection = Addictive Weekly Wrestling TV.
Ah that's why AEW has so many viewers.
Honestly this was such a good match. It had great storytelling in it and wasn't a spot fest with no selling finishers. They absolutely killed it.

Damn this was a pretty good match. MJF didn’t turn on Cole like we all expected him to do, I’m glad that their continuing the story.
I found myself screaming saying to Max DON'T YOU DARE 💀. That's when you know they've told a great story. I was gutted they lost. Waiting to be heartbroken by a betrayal. Is it bad to say I'm proud of Max for not betraying Adam? I know it's common decency but for Max being good is a big achievement for him 🤣

Cole has shown MJF the he can do things differently. MJF always teases doing the dive, Cole had him commit to it.
MJF literally never saves anyone and he saved Cole from the shatter machine finish.
MJF easily could have turned his back on Cole right here and he decided against it.

Especially post hug. Until the moment the show went off the air I was waiting for the turn. Whenever one would turn their back I started to clench up.
I loved this. The match was very good, as you'd expect with 4 great in ring workers in FTR, Max and Adam. The storytelling, Max's past with the Pinnacle, FTR's resentment because of it. Nice callback. But the MJF/Adam story has given Max a ton of character development. I'm glad they didn't do the turn tonight. It seemed very obvious if they did. Found myself saying don't you dare Max multiple times when he had the belt in hand 😅. I hope they stay as a pair for the foreseeable as the turn will be very heartbreaking... and Max shouldn't be the traitor IMO.
Also I love that Collision is very story driven. They didn't put a foot wrong tonight.

This was a strong classic tag match. Wasn’t rushed. It told a story and it looked real. They gave me Arn & Tully vibes. Smart wrestling.
Phenomenal match. The storytelling here is off the charts. So glad MJF and Cole get to continue this story! They’re truly the best thing in wrestling right now!

I love when they mix both tag champs and world champ. Those storylines tend to be gold, and this is not the exception. Watch the Bloodline, they are somewhat connected to the champs (Zayn and Owens). Same happens here. It's amazing. I love these guys.
Didnt believe that there was a way that a babyface MJF was possible, but looks like it is, and he seems to enjoy it so much and is good for him, he has worked so hard to establish his heel persona and with that way won't loose that.
MJF has to turn face because at collision Punk turns heel. The inevitable collision is sooner or later coming.

Ok AEW, you got me. I was really expecting MJF or Cole to turn tonight. You led me to a few points where I thought "yup, here it comes". But no. You didn't. Thank you for this. I mean, we all know how this is going to end. But who will turn on who ( it really could be either one), when and how is what is gonna keep us watching.....
Maybe it won't end up that way though.... I mean think about it, this is one of those things that shouldn't be, like the Rock and Sock Connection or Booker T and Gold dust, there's no way either of those 2 teams should have worked, yet they did.

This was amazing storytelling and has a lot of Triple H/Shawn Michaels best friend vibes. It is possible, and very plausible, Adam Cole and MFJ have stumbled and created a long-term angle in AEW and may become, if they aren't already because of the chemistry, friends in real life.
Really thought MJF was gonna turn after the match 😂😂😂. Nice ending by AEW

This match was really really awesome hats of to both teams but I'm glad FTR retains plus Aew Collision was amazing Saturday night and Dynamite and Rampage was also excellent to watch
Honestly glad this story is continuing. Adam showing love to two very good friends in FTR and then showing love to Max despite Max losing the match for them. Awesome story, and I definitely didn't expect Max to save Adam and sacrifice himself.
Awesome...the match, the ending, the storytelling... Makes us want to tune next week to see more.
I love how important is the tag division
FTR always brings the best out of the tag div. No matter what company their in.
They've been apart of some of the best tag matches in the last 10 years. Revival vs DIY Pt2, and Revival vs AA off the top of my head.
The bucks vs FTR was kind of a let down though.

Disagree that would be way to predictable and also there is always a chance someone loses to someone. By your logic there was no point for blind eliminator since they are random teams and none should be able to beat FTR.
Normally I'd be against the world champion being pinned in a non title match but it fit the story perfectly for MJF to lose here.

Adam Cole is bringing out the best in MJF. I’m shocked Vince didn’t see anything in Cole. Even if he doesn’t have muscles he still looks like a big guy in person and on tv. He’s over 200+.
He is like 185, dude. The guy is 5'9". I have seen a picture of him next to someone that was 5'7" and he was only barely taller.
I haven't felt this about a wrestling story line in such a long time but I love everything about this

That was some g*dd*mn amazing wrestling. Wheeler's splash was a thing of beauty. Seriously. MJF's counters? Phenomenal. Storytelling and psychology was maybe even better than FTR vs Briscoes 3.

I normally hate when people say cinema towards wrestling stuff, primarily the bloodline stuff(good story but people overhype it), but I this is the one case I'll 100% agree with it. This match was great.
The best way they could have ended the show without them actually winning the titles, fantastic match too.
