@@patta8388 Honestly most swedish low to early mid-tier ground vehicles are only usefull in very specific roles or just meh, don't let me started at the astonishingly overtiered air tree though.

@@patta8388 Oh yeah, the SAV definetly, thing is absolute BS, but thats more of a premium thing. The swedish TDs are pretty much only good at sniping in my experience since they have very long reloads compared to tanks with simlar guns.
I think the assault tanks are also kinda OP with their HEAT rounds with extreme pen values.

You gotta warn allies before coming in with any bomb over 2000lbs - I had my first game with that bomb with 5 kills, no TKs, and a wonderful team telling me where NOT to drop it.

I love the flying Flak. 2 MG 151 at BR 1.7 with mine shells are just awesome. Together with the 20mm Puma this is one of my favorite lineups...

YOU CAN KILL LIGHT VEHICLES IN THE BV-138C-1! I did this to clear the anti air, and if you aim right, you can get a kill or two. Very hard, but very rewarding.

The only problem is that Gaijin makes the BV’a wings comically weak. The whole think snaps off with the slightest amount of damage. When I’m reality it should just have a lot of holes it it, not completely break away.
The Sd. Kfz. 221 and 222 actually dont have the same chassis. The 222 is a bit wider to accommodate the bigger turret

I use the BV-138 as a budget AC-130. I’ve been on decent kill streaks using the turrets to kill ground.

I am a german main player from germany and this plane is sooo tanky and acurate with the guns.
I was in a air realistic battle and got 4 plane kills without dropping the bombs or using my tailgunner and my plane crew was at lvl 5 or so.
Landing the plan on the airfield, lands, keeps engine at wep instead of break xD still manages to stop safely rofl only you
It's funny you mention "grimdark" when that flying boat looks like something out of Warhammer 40k.
It also got diesel engines that would smoke A LOT irl.

What do you dislike in the Swedish faction chief? I'mma be real I also don't quite like them, the planes kinda follow a certain structure but ground is just weird as all heck, a bit like France who has a bit of an identity crisis from low to mid to high tier.
One of my favorite things to do in WT is landing a heavily damaged aircraft
I used to like landing planes in X-Plane with the random damage enameled. Random modules would break increases the challenge the longer the plane flew

This thing has serious sky-pirate vibes. Makes me wish there was a mode, or a game, that was all about nonsensical airship combat.
you laugh at floatplane aces, but the most effective ground attacker of the french air force (with the most sucess at attacking and delaying the german ground forces) during the battle of france was the damn Latecoere 298.
They were literally so damn desperate on stopping the german tank columns that they just went up to the navys floatplane topedo bombers and straight up told them to load bombs and head inland to look for and attack german tanks; the pilots didnt have any training on ground attack, or even on overland flying, they only had training on attacking ships (either with bombs or torpedoes), so they just had to improvise; and still they were the most effective ones.
P.S. in war thunder the Latecoere is still a damn good CAS aircraft on combined battles, and can also work a bit as an emergency fighter, just lacking in foward facing armament.

how is sweden getting easy mode is my question, the tanks u will most likely use have 70MM of pen basicly which is not good, although later on it becomes goofy and slightly op or not op.
turrets on planes were quite good at limiting where opponents were willing to fly but astoundingly terrible at actually shooting things down, as in you legitimately would not believe how low the numbers are even _before_ you include trying to account for how guidelines on what counts as "shooting a plane down" or even claiming a "hit" being designed to inflate numbers for all they are worth.
even in things like the B29 variants with 20+ gun bubbles on them turrets scored nearly zero kills throughout either world war or the surrounding era of vaguely equivalent tech...air to air kills specifically: weirdly enough they _did_ get used against ground targets on a few occasions to a great deal of effect (normally a _terrible_ idea: no AA + a loitering gunship = bad time).
^in the case of turrets on planes that would be basically anything before the videogame industry and hobbyists got to work and suddenly guidance systems went from empty crap to good enough to have a real chance to shoot incoming bullets in a matter of a few years, though actually putting turrets on the planes got largely abandoned long before those good fire control systems.
...odd to see someone referring to both genuine badass behavior and pathetic toxic dickishness as Gigachad, usually people attach that term to one or the other.

I feel like the 20mm HE is bugged, the 3 kills I've gotten with the Bv 138 all were like 3 hits and then pilot snipe
recently MG 151 was temporarily rendered useless by the "Realshatter" mechanic, wherein only FI-T shells really do damage and that is dependant on several factors.
