- Today I'm playing with HMS Hood in War Thunder Naval Enduring Confrontation battles. HMS Hood was a battlecruiser of the Royal Navy built during the First World War, and with multiple refits she served up to the Second World War.
In War Thunder "Danger Zone Update" HMS Hood is placed at 6.7 battle rating together with SMS Bayern, Scharnhorst, IJN Kongo, USS Arzona, Kronshtadt , and other battleships/battlecruisers.
War Thunder Naval Forces is similar to World of Warships or mobile World of Warships Blitz games, but with more realistic approach. WOWS, and wows blitz are more arcady games.

I don't know if it just me but Hood ammo likes to explode, something I didn't experience in Kongo, and sometimes those deaths doesn't make sense. Maybe still unfinished/bugged like first week of the update? But still Hood can take some beating, armor is decent.
Also I'm happy to see Nava EC is till going strong every weekend since my last (EC)video, and seems like lots of people playing. I certainly enjoy it more than standard battles.
And how do you capture capture points when people keep respawning with torps? I was wondering, wouldn't it be better if players had some cooldown period(in that particular spawn) if they died right away after spawning ?
How can I email you? Took a clip of your into music and put it to a gif and wanted you to see so I don't get flagged for copy rights.
They couldn't recreate Hood Exploding like it did in real life... (A 1/100000 shot to secondary ammunition and torpedo storage, open nearby blast doors and it's nearby water tight doors/bulkheads were open, allowing the fireball to travel inside the ship, igniting the primary ammo)... so Gaijin created a algorithm to make it happen but forgot to limit it only to Hood... they later turned it off for everyone except Hood.
Notice how if you get hit in the rear or front... a magic fire starts in the middle or around the ammo with zero relation to the damage!?
But it's ok... they made sure to close the compartments of the Kronshtadt... a ship that never even had the opportunity to have them installed... or anything else other than the hull to that matter...
Nah it's pretty accurate since royal navy liked to open the ammunition door for faster reload which also made it rlly ez to explode
@@thuhangthieu4017 If we are going for procedure accuracy... why does Kronshtadt exist? Only it's hull was built. Therefore its procedure would be for engineers to run for cover and watch it get repeatedly bombed by airforces... either that or Stalin constantly moth balling it's production.
Or better yet, the first generations of T34''s not having a gunners sight and relied on coaxial to line up the gun.
Strange how "accuracy" only applies to None Soviet vehicles...
And before you say "balance"... having a vehicle randomly explode to RNG is not balance...

The HMS hood is the ship that sink the french navy in Mers-el-Kébir, Algeria. The british affirmed at the time it was necessary to prevent the french marine to be captured by the German. It was a tactic to destroy the main asset the french had over the british at that time. My grandpa was here at that time, when Algeria was a french colony...

They have the unsinkable battle ship the USS Nevada that survived 2 nukes during retirement but they don’t got the USS Texas that served in all theater and flooded half its side during DDay to shoot its shells much farther than intended. there’s a RUclips short about this if you wanna know more.

They aren't unsinkable I don't know why people ever say that... There's two things here The nukes were not dropped nowhere close enough to them to sink to them by direct blast or pressure wave. They most definitely would have some been obliterated had it been dropped directly on top of them or within even a few miles. Your statement is absurd.
@@DankNoodles420 I know that but Uncle Sam dropped to nukes to try sink the ship and when that didn’t work he sent a whole firing squad worth to sink an irradiated ship, and it took 5 days to finally sink it with the final blow being torpedo.

You know i never was much of an allrounder in War Thunder tanks all the way but i gotta say you give videos with navy and at least aireal in RB something that makes me enjoy it just as much as watching tanks battles you are a great guy and best of all a hella good content creator.
I was like that before, but when you get burned out playing tanks all the time, naval can be a breath of freah air. Glad to hear I make naval look more enjoyable 😉

yh the hood was pretty advanced ship for its time but it got hit basicly straight down and its ammo storage got hit or court fire and it exploded snapping the ship into 2 parts killing nearly everyone on board, the prince of wales(ship) that was with it at the time was like "wtf".....at least thats what i remember about the ship
well I think by ww2 Hood wasn't that advance anymore, rather outdated

I never realised HMS Hood has the largest guns in war thunder, 1mm larger than the German SMS Bayern
I'm not a big fan of Naval although I play Naval Arcade from time to time just to chill and listen to the music. The HMS Furious (47) would be cool with its (intended) pair of 18inch guns.
Naval is good place to relax. And HMS Furious would be awesome to have lol but where would you even place it?
@@DOLLARplays Good question. It certainly wouldn't be at the very top but they'd find a way to screw up the 'balance' anyway. Its mere two 18inch guns are separated in single gun turrets with minute long reloads firing APC and have no effective anti-air to back them up aside from dual-purpose guns.

@@DOLLARplays Ironic that you say 5.7 as when ever this Modified Courageous class Large Light Cruiser was mentioned in the past five years on the forum I kept suggesting 5.7 (imo originally for a counter to the Deuscthland class heh).
The Furious would be a great event ship but if we weren't able to get it a compromise would be the Lord Clyde class Moniters Lord Clyde, General Wolfe an Prince Eugene which would make lovely 5.7 vessels for the Coastal TT them The Elephant & The Castle.

Awesome. I, for one, love naval. It's my favorite mode.. and that's probably because it's what I do best at.
I'd love to see more naval vids. The Pittsburgh is a good US Heavy Cruiser. Surprisingly good if you ask me. It has different spec'd 8" shells than the other two heavy cruisers in USA. More pen and more explosives. Kinda weird lol.. but yeah, its AP is really, really good.
The Cleveland is the best light cruiser. I think it's called "HC", but yeah, the HC ammo is like HE but it can pen better than HE.. I dunno, it just gets kills like crazy. Ya wanna wait until you're under 7km before using it imo... and at 5km and under, it'll kill another light cruiser in less than 20 seconds. Very survivable for a light cruiser, too. Top notch AA, also. The Brooklyn comes after it and... it has a higher BR which makes me want to use it, but straight up, the Cleveland is better. Much better armor.
The Wyoming is kinda trash though.
agreed - Cleveland is the pound for pound meta ship. But Moffett / Davis / Porter combo is meta for those delicious lions - CaptTugbobo
US cruisers ar the best in game, but you can't say that about the battleship at the moment. Arizona would be good if not that 1min reload. Glad you enjoy it mate 😉👍🏻
@@tugbobo02 Ya know, I need to play around with some of those ships some more. 99% of the time, I'm either grabbing the Pittsburgh or the Wyoming lol. And I tend to last through the whole match. Then, again, I don't just drive straight and wide open towards a group of enemies. I think it's the Moffet that I've had some fun in and got some kills that surprised me.
I dunno why I don't pay enough attention in this game to learn the names of the ships. I play every day. You guys can look at a ship 12km away and be like "that's a this and that's a that" lol. I only know the Scharnhorst. That's the one that usually kills me in 2 or 3 salvos.
@@DOLLARplays I haven't tried the other two Battleships in US, yet. I'm working on it lol. I don't have the North Dakota or Arizona. I'm getting the Arizona next, though.
I've made a lot of money with the Wyoming. I guess I get salty when the Scharnhorst always gets me in around 2 salvos and I can never pen it lol.
