This is the best video on mold and mildew removal I’ve seen. It worked amazing for my vinyl. Make sure to do all the steps. Thank you so much for putting this video out. My boat looks new again
Thank you so much. I have been struggling for the past 3 years trying to get my boat seats clean. I have watched and tried countless videos that haven't worked. Decided to try these products and can not believe the results. I used to spend over 3 hours cleaning with lots of scrubbing and manual labor. With this method, I was done in about an hour with seats that are clean as brand new. Now, just to wait a few months to see if the prevention part holds true. I'm no longer embarrassed to bring guests aboard my boat. ❤
I did this to my boat over the weekend. What an amazing result - your video of just letting it sit was key. I used a pump sprayer for the mold remover, used the mister on the mold preventer. Thank you Top Dock!
Great video on mildew/mold removal. After 10 weeks under repair, I followed a similar process and the results are night and day. Due to product availability, I didn't always use exactly the same products but I did use the same type of products. Now I just need to figure out a good way to restore the exterior shine (the first attempt didn't work)!
Once the protective layer of the vinyl comes off typically due to high uv overtime the seats won’t shine up like they used to. Even the best products won’t do much. You could try to soak them, otherwise it may be irreversible
I just did my whole exterior ofmy boat came out amazing. I found this video and pretty much did the same and got incredible results. ruclips.net/video/VOVftvHtiWQ/видео.htmlsi=XRlmYVFHbuKoEc9n
This mold remover is the best thing ever! I have had my boat for 4 years and when I bought it, there was already mold, today I’m cleaning my boat to put it for sale and used this stuff and then sprayed another seat and then turned and looked at the first seat and I was shocked! It was almost all gone within like 30 seconds! I let it sit for another minute and it was amazing! After two applications on the worst seat it was perfect! All mold gone! I had bought the small bottle and had a tiny bit left after doing my entire pontoon boat. This is bleach based as you can smell the bleach when spraying…you might could just dilute bleach and it might be the same thing…not sure… My carpet was perfectly fine with the solution having bleach… After cleaning the mold I washed with soap and water and then used Babes Seat Conditioner. Before using this I’ve tried kitchen cleaner, tough stuff, soap…nothing worked.
All those side panels easily detach from the boat. Pull them out. Put them on a portable table and go to work. We wet them and stack wet side to wet side while it’s dwelling. Pump sprayer will also speed your process. Pressure wash the seams. Magic Eraser on stubborn spots and the stains behind the cushions you removed.
Dude try Miracle Mist boat and RV mold and mildew remover found at Walmart in the RV and boat isle, you will be amazed at how little you will have to use to reach a spotless mold and mildewed surface.
Question? With bleach being the active ingredient, what is the possibility of the stitching's being damaged or dissolving over time once this product has been used? Thank you
Yes that’s a great point to bring up. The stitching will dry out when you use bleach on your vinyl. It’s important to follow up that process with a vinyl protectant to restore the oils back into the vinyl and stitching
Great video. The only problem I see after watching is finding a supplier that offers all three products you showcased. It would be nice just to make one order for all three.
@@topdockproyes! I was shocked! My mold was on my seats for years. It’s amazing stuff really. It’s bleach based so you need to use a conditioner after it. And it did not ruin my carpets when I washed it off. Might just be able to dilute bleach a lot and it work the same though.
I use 303 Protectant on my vinyl seats and cushions. I've noticed the ones in the sun feel a little sticky and tend to get dirty quickly. Has anyone else noticed this?
So with it having bleech in it does it hurt the seams?? Does it change the color of the stiching and make them fall apart? I used marine 31 today on a seat and it made it look new but messed with the stitching!😊
Yes it could hurt the seams depending on the thread being used. That’s why you’re not suppose to do it often. However, it should NOT change the color of the seam. Typically the sun is much more damaging than the mildew remover
And what does it do to your seat stitching? Every boat detailer says don't use bleach on your stitching as it will destroy it. Sodium Hypochlorite is really bleach, no? So it may work, but something tells me your seats will pay for it over the long run by...falling apart.
Don’t take my word for it but I would imagine it would be fine. If the carpet is removable take it out prior to removing the mold & mildew. From my experience with the product it’s safe and works for the user.
We purchased a used boat I thought it had mold or mildew on the cushions, but it seems to be something else...not sure how to get it off...we have tried bleach, Zep, Mean Green, steam, magic eraser...but nothing not sure what this crap is and its everywhere.
I have problems with very first step, spraying enrire boat. I live off grid with no power or water. Continue, I'll see what I can do!you don't know what kind of luxury being about to spray with force for so long you have it!
That’s a pretty unintentional comment. Anytime you restore a surface it doesn’t happen in seconds. Gelcoat, stainless, etc. The deeper the mold the longer it takes even if you used straight bleach which really dries out the vinyl
It pains me to watch people use a crappy, cheap and worthless hand sprayer. Especially if you're a pro invest $10 and purchase a simple garden sprayer! Use a magic marker and label it.
How about you show a video that has products most people have or can run to store n get. Then pitch your product saying this works in a pinch but we all lniw boat up keep is essential so i recommend stark or whatever the crap was calked. Its what im using today and i will introduce you to some others as we proceed through video. Your video is a shippy way to sell your product. Shafty shifty and not nifty. A fail.

This is awesome! So happy to see!
It’s just watered down bleach. Literally. Check the data sheet.

I'd put that product in a weed sprayer, pump it up and spray away...my hand would get tired lol Looks like it works well though.
Yes that would be a great idea. My hand was tired haha
This is a great video. The results he got are amazing. Thanks for sharing your knowledge.
Glad you enjoyed it!

For the bottle, buy the flo and gro bottles you pump them up and you save your fingers
Never heard of it!

Holy shit I have this exact same boat with the exact same problem. Thank you!! 🙏🏻
You’re welcome ☺️

Didn’t know about it!
Does the Starks hurt the stitching?

Yes that’s a great point to bring up. The stitching will dry out when you use bleach on your vinyl. It’s important to follow up that process with a vinyl protectant to restore the oils back into the vinyl and stitching
Keep in mind that mold can also breakdown and destroy the stitching and vinyl.
If I remember right, he flushed the seats off with water after using the Starke spray that would of removed or thoroughly diluted any remaining bleach
Great video. The only problem I see after watching is finding a supplier that offers all three products you showcased. It would be nice just to make one order for all three.
True I don’t think you’re gonna find that. I think marine detail supply carries 2 of them
I just bought the mildew cleaner:) Hoping it works! Thanks!!!
Did it work?

You could try CarPro Perl. That’s the other one we use. Hope this helps
a good term to use when scrubbing or moving chemicals. agitate
Yes. Thanks

Will this damage my blue carpeting under and around my seats

Was there still little blacks spots when finished on the seats?? I’ve been having a heck of a time trying to get the spots out
Not on this one. Perhaps it super deep mold. May require soaking or the seat may be damaged from something else
@@topdockpro doesn’t work on the hard to get black spots… nothing works just saying
This is a great video
Starke Mildew Clean always does the trick!
We purchased a used boat I thought it had mold or mildew on the cushions, but it seems to be something else...not sure how to get it off...we have tried bleach, Zep, Mean Green, steam, magic eraser...but nothing not sure what this crap is and its everywhere.
Could be really deep mold which would require soaking, sun damage, or it’s just time to get new seats!

I think a big sprayer works better.
Yeah probably lol
Oh yea glad I kept watching I’m not using a product that needs 5 applications that’s a total fail.

You really went cheap on the spray bottle. LOL!
I did 😭 not the best one out there
Spray bottle takes too long and mist goes everywhere. Just put it on a hand mit
@@justinh2701 true we use a pump sprayer now it’s works great!
💪
This mold/mildew was NOT set it. This example could easily be removed with any household cleaner and spraying.
It was about a year of build up. Still need a good mold and mildew product. House cleaner will not touch that
This is just for sales

Subject is remove mildew from seats why waste time washing the boat
The client paid for a boat wash. We don’t book jobs just to get a video on them
