40 years ago I used to camp at a spot locals called 'Pretty Place' & also Margret Lk. very close by, maybe around (13) on your map...it was pretty sketchy getting there, deep mud holes on seismic lines. 4-5 lb. Rainbows until the lake *winter killed one year :(
@@FlapjackFly that would have been awesome. I find too many rules these days and to many restrictions for everything. I'm getting up there in years as well, and remember how much freedom we had for this stuff when I was a kid in the 80s.
Pretty place sound familiar. We dirtbike to a spot called that from fallen timber west to the base of the mountains
Excellent work guys - the editing and different areas you explore make for great, relaxing entertainment duiring night shift. And the Insta 360 is a nice addition - those cameras are Tre' cooll!
Thank you for watching and for commenting on the 360 dude. I think once we get used to it it will add a very cool perspective on some of the shorts. And once we get more gadgets for it. Always need more gadgets! lol!
Always a pleasure to watch your travels ! Wonderful drone footage and filming. We are running a Ford Ranger with an Aluminum Flat deck and a four wheel pop up truck camper.
@@rolandklann6250 that sounds like a good set up. I often wish we were a bit smaller. Especially trying to squeeze through super tight or overgrown trails. Like in the " we're in big trouble" vid.
But we love The Beast, I guess it just makes it more of a challenge
WOW...
What a breathtaking area. Great drone work. Just stumbled onto the channel and running a full-size Ram myself, had to subscribe. 😊 Pretty unique rig, I'm going to have to go binge watch your earlier videos to see what it's about. Thank you for sharing, and looking forward to future videos.
@@mikes4352 thank you, and ya please do. Go to the channel and have a look. We have some sweet adventures on there. Also I have a couple shop videos I the build section you might like since you have a full size Ram.
Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
In 2016 I worked on that trail to open it up after the 2013 floods. I'm really happy that it is being used responsibly. 😊
@@k.jayschmitke7951 thank you for doing that. Yes from the amount of traffic we seen, especially on the Saturday the trails are immaculate. No garbage or anything like that. Camping areas are well taken care of as well.
Great video!! We love that valley and camp there often!
@@ToyotaTruckBuilds thank you very much. Although I did notice afterwards I made a couple of mistakes in the video. One was the location of the waterfall on the map.
The other is I said the waterfall is the furthest you can go.
Hopefully that didn't take away from you enjoying it since you know the area.
Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
@ Not at all. It was very well done!
What was your new camera? Insta 360?
@@ToyotaTruckBuilds yes its very cool valley. We will be back for sure
@@gregmoessner3104 yes it's a insta 360 x4
Another excellent video!! Like the new camera and expanded view just takes a minute to adjust my brain to what I am seeing 😂!
Also great to see a competent pilot behind the wheel for a change!!
Keep up the great work you 2
@@boydlotzien8362 thanks buddy, we appreciate the comments. And I agree the 360 takes a bit of getting used too. We will be trying different things with it in the future. Like long selfie stick ect.
And hey, Ann drives off road pretty much every trip too. Probably why we make it home more or less in one peace lol
Thanks for the comment dude 👍
Awesome! Glad to see you get out in the winter for some #wintercamping! Beautiful scenery as usual.
I actually really like winter camping. But last few years the rig has been down for work in the shop so it didn't happen much. Got to bring the van back for winter trips I guess.
It's a very scenic area!! Great video
@@OverlandAlberta sure is, I know from watching yours how much you like it out there and I cant blame you, its beautiful.
.... very nice! Thanks for taking us on this trip!
@@mogxplorer8788 thank you for watching and commenting 👍
Great job as always! Keep them coming! Looking forward to your mods videos.
Thanks for watching and commenting dude, I really appreciate it.
Great drone footage. One day we will have to take the time to check this out.
@@placesbenwillgo157 thank you. I think you'll enjoy it if you do.
New Subscriber. Really enjoyed your video. Take care. Shawn and Corinne (Travels of Red Rover).
@@TravelsofRedRover awesome, thanks for watching and subscribing guys👍
Graet rig!
@@KIPMoto thanks, definitely does the job for us.
Newish subscriber here. I watch many other overlanding channels and have been watching your videos for a while now and am impressed with the quality of the videoing, especially with the drone, well done. Keep up the good work.
@jcf6597 thank you very much. I think Ann and I are getting better at filming with the drone, it's nice to know it's being noticed, so thanks for that. Its certainly a learning curve. Flying is one thing, but filming well at the same time is another. Hope to keep improving, thanks for the comment👍
Damn it! Now I want a Burger! ... not too Keen on the 360 camera. At times (a couple shots) it okay, but im just not a fan of the fish eye. ... beautiful area though. Would be nice if it was open in summer. To spend a hot summer day, but I guess it would get tooooo busy and ruined
@@explore_off_road thank you for your input. Ya the 360 takes a bit of getting used to. I think it will be part of things but certainly not the main camera.
As far as trails being open I believe most are all year. Accept the dotted trail past marker 39 i belive that goes to the falls and beyond. Closed in thr summer because of the river crossings and fish.
Somebody’s looking for a Jamison sponsor!
@@gregmoessner3104 yes lol, that would be awesome!
