Yes this video had a lot of stereotypes which weren't really true or may be she belonged to a north western indian state where literacy rate is low.     As an Indian girl who has never left the country, I can assure that we don't have to wear our traditionals other than festivals. We most wear clothes that suites ourselves the most. Also most people here can speak fluent English, without that weird accent shown in the video.

      And some people do talk in an accent which is called indian accent
      Not all
      I learned the foreign accent perhaps the american accent since a very young age thanks to my parents who provided a good education to me!

    And wearing a saree or speaking hindi in a foreign country isn't bad.

    And yeah, Indians Aren't like that.
    My mom let's me wear jeans, shorts, crop tops and everything.

      Idk i'm indian , our moms not like this... And seriously in india we have uniforms we don't wear casual wears. Maybe discriminating between boys and girls are in rural area but now it really does not happen.... and we wear normal clothes and traditional clothes are only worn in festivals and sometimes in weddings. But grownups do wears traditional cloths normally as well as western clothes

    This story was amazing and it was actually made to spread awareness that sometimes indian parents do absolutely stupid things because they wanted to maintain their "tradition" , treating girl children as Inferior and marrying their children to random people out of their will, As an Indian I would approve spreading such awarenesses, but since the story took place in United States, that didn't made much sense, it would be better if the story entirely took place in India plus the story didn't seem to end properly
    Anyways, Nice story keep up making them

    There are really some moms like her in India. As an Indian I saw my other friends moms being just like her mom... No taking to boys, no dating etc... But luckily my mom and dad is different, I m allowed to talk to boys, hangout with them and dressing whatever I want.. I only wear saree in saraswati puja

    I am from India.
    I loved the story and I love My Story Animated too but I just wanna tell you guys that not all Indian girls or should I say only some girls experience this kind of discrimination which is obsessively wrong.
