This was so excellent! I found you when I watched your explanation of the crisis board in Voidfall (also excellent!), and now I’m looking forward to correcting the mistakes I made with our initial first play of co-op mode. I especially love the advice to grab tech and agendas simply for the immediate bonuses. I really wouldn’t have thought of that as a regular strategy but it makes so much sense! Thank you!

@melandloys Glad to help! I learned by making a lot of mistakes myself--it's all part of the process. If you have any Voidfall questions that I haven't answered yet, please let me know and I'll do my best to make a video to help you out!

"Don't go broke" 🤣 Good stuff! Especially appreciated you showing how to string cards together to get multiple agendas in play. Only playing about once every week & a half has caused a slow learning curve on getting max value of sequencing card plays so this was helpful getting agendas on board. I get too distracted by the crisis cards so glad you touched on that. Would love to see a play thru where you focus on going tall strategy versus wide as I always seem to get sucked into going wide. The combat techs are just so tasty & denying the rift points always seems like the best play in my games. And my new ships are 🔥😉 Great vid!

@coreyl6221 Haha, I went broke and it hurt, don't make my mistake! Agreed on Crisis distractions--I've actually been taking Catastrophe tokens more regularly since filming this video, too.
I intend to film a playthrough with Yarvek next week (and hopefully publish the following week), so maybe I'll start with Tactical Transports and aim to go tall (even though they're much better suited to go wide in a lot of ways).
And yes, those ships are some of the best upgrades we have, I haven't touched my minis since getting them. Glad you like them!

Don't forget to watch what the player after you is doing, so that you are primed to cut their strategies and prevent them from exploiting you and your actions.

@googooboyy Undoubtedly excellent advice! I can't say I've tried that in solo mode though hahaha

I consider myself an intermediate player, I’m at a point where I have close to 100% win rate on medium difficulty, but I still feel weak on tech tracks and trade tokens. I never seem to get very far in either.
Also, I haven’t been able to close both rifts on the maps that have two.

@sapien01010 Tracks and Trade tokens are both similar to gaining Agendas in that you spend an action to get a different action.
-Trade tokens tend to lead to more Trade tokens, especially when specifically focusing on them with Heroic Focus cards and various techs like Trade Nexus, Autonomous Drones, or Escape Pods.
-Tracks tend to work well when you pick just one to focus on heavily. Looking at just the standard Focus cards, each track is represented once (Society on Production, Statecraft on Politics, and Economy on Prosperity). Each cycle, play the one you're focusing on. On top of that, Development and Temptation each let you advance a track of your choice, so that can be 2 more bumps per cycle. Sometimes you can use the Might Agenda to advance a choice track if you do it early (lowest track). And then if your Preferred focus can advance a track, Temptation (or other cards like Heroic Leadership) can let you advance your tracks yet again by taking a preferred action. Can be very powerful and effective, but it does take some dedicated effort.
-As for closing two Rifts, you may need to maximize Invade actions. Assuming basic Focus cards only, at a minimum you have 3 opportunities to Invade in Cycle 1 (Conquest, Politics, & Temptation via Agenda), and 4 opportunities in Cycles 2-3 (same as Cycle 1 plus Innovation via Agenda). Again, an Invade on your Preferred Focus can gain you more, as can House-Specific Focus cards (like Yarvek's Raid--I think Yarvek can invade as many as 7 times in a Cycle with some good fortune). All this Invading might force you to do some Abandoning, but that can be worth it to shave off 60 Influence from Rifts. Then again, if you can win without closing all the Rifts, no need to go to the trouble then!
      Hope this helps!

@@table_for_one Thanks, this is a great way of mapping out a plan by looking at # of opportunities per cycle. And regarding the 2 rifts, I definitely need to not worry so much about abandoning sectors (it’s so painful though!)
