Congrats! This guitar lesson has been selected by our curators and featured on our website as the Best Guitar Tutorial for this song/level. Thank you for your hard work and expertise!
Man your the god of covers...theyre so detailed..i luv that lil solo at the end thanks for bringing that up👍👍
Totally agree, what a great lesson! This is such a fun song and I totally forgot about it, hadn't heard it in a long time or even played it in years. I thought I knew this but I learned a lot. Thanks!
I’m just now learning to play, so this is going way to fast for me, but I do love the song!!! I’ll just have to find a lesson that teaches it a bit slower for an actual beginner. Because this video isn’t Making Guitar EZ at all. LOL.
thank you so much for this tutorial. It's really helped me a lot
Good lesson: You even added some of the fill-in chord melodies too. Always grateful for that! Thanks. PS: I never noticed your guitar didn't have obvious position markers. Is somebody really going to complain about that?
Ray Davies played an all metal resonator or dobro on the original Lola. Great sound 👍.
Excellent lesson. Thank you very much. Very fun learning from you. You're a very good instructor.
So helpful bro thank you for teaching me a song😎
very good - thank you - i like it - greetings from germany!
Seeing Ray tomorrow so thought I would check in on some lessons. I like the way you teach - very easy to learn from. Keep up the good work! I've had a glance through your channel and some really good stuff I'll be checking out.
Anthony Poole Thanks Anthony! Where you seeing Ray Davies? I love that guy. His live show rocks. I hope you have fun man and thanks for checkin' out the channel. I got tons more lessons comin' your way :)
I saw him in Cardiff, Wales, last night. To be truthful, I wasn't expecting much at his age but he was fantastic, possibly the best I've seen and heard. Front row seats were great too :D
The first chord is C/G not just a C. If you want to claim to be correct. And it's a Dobro, not a Banjo.
correct, it was dobro, seen Ray playing it on this song
Pretty complicated chord progressions in the middle, Ray's genius or Dave's? Great song. Nice tutorial.
Really enjoyed that lesson thank you. What a tune!
Robert Rice I know! I love that song too!.. Ray Davies is a gentleman and a scholar... I wonder if he really did meet a transvestite at a bar just like he says in the song though
Instead of the bend, you could show folks how to do a 2 fret slide, I got a few more tips on this song. Thanks bro
Good Job!!
How are you strumming?
great job! as goes for all your vids
Excellent!
+Boris Notbadenov Thanks Boris!
Great Lesson!
good stuff. Thanks!
great job of teaching!
Greatest song line ever .. " I know what I am, I'm a man, and so is Lola "
Ha! I know right.
I agree that it's a great line.... but it's actually... "I know what I am and I'm glad I'm a man
and so is Lola.".... Makes a little difference.
@@a1scooter1 It makes it a bit more confusing because you don't know if he is saying that Lola is a man or if Lola is glad that he is a man lol
right from start i like the sound. how you began it too (the song)
+JohnAllanification Thanks John! Glad you liked it :) Yeah I love this song.. I didn't know what it was about until a few years ago... ha! kinda funny!
Just a suggestion, but this is hard to follow without fretboard markers.
pro tip: watch series on Flixzone. Been using it for watching a lot of movies recently.
@Stanley Melvin Definitely, I've been watching on flixzone} for years myself :)
Whoa
I think instead of a banjo its the fact that Ray plays a National resonator on this one. Great lesson though.
Makes sense! I've actually never thought of that... but totally can hear it in my head now. Thanks tucker for watching!
nice to watch and hear it 15 11 2016 2 7 pm
I always thought it was a banjo too... goes to show...
Good job but made much harder to follow by playing a guitar without fret markers
and we wish you could play the whole song at the backside of the video
You can count can't you 😆 lol
i Can't pick up the strum...
Reasonable variation of the song but not entirely accurate, e.g., song begins with C chord with G Position fretted on bass E string
Its not a banjo,its a resonator.
way to fast, also full C in the intro sounds a bit weak otherwise thanks for the lesson
lead guitar part is wrong.......
