Scotty used to be all oh golly gee type person, but then Laura broke his heart and he changed.. I like this Scotty better. He is more fun. :) And no I don't blame him for being angry and bitter.
Janine Turner's character (Laura Templeton) actually left Port Charles still in love with Scott IIRC, she would have been an awesome love interest for my boy Scotty! But ofcourse Gloria Monty wanted to demonize Scotty to prop her precious Tony Geary. She even pitted him against GF and the results of that are evident now
I love the Baldwins. The bouquet catch was awesome. Honestly, yes Scotty was over demonized but his character is 10 times more interesting as a bad boy. He says it himself when he describes catching the bouquet as "fun." It was fun to watch.
I love how Scotty became the bad one and then Robert (who I love!) wants him to leave town when Scotty has been around Port Charles WAY longer than Robert....still boggles my mind to this day.
I thought it was wrong to demonize Scotty. His wife ran off and married her known rapist with his own father, former in-laws and friends, and the whole city cheering them on at their wedding. They should have done some justice for the character. I thought Scotty and Laura Templeton were a cute couple.

Before Luke stole Laura’s heart, I didn’t like Scotty’s character. He was a pushover, but after the wedding his character finally had a backbone and his storylines became more interesting and he really got to shine. I think he had best character transition and he became one of the most interesting characters on the show! I finally became his biggest fan and I think he was finally able to give Luke Spencer a run for his money.

Kin Shriner is a great actor. He is half Irish...somebody told me his mother's maiden name was McDermott Happy St. Patrick's Day Kin!!!!!!!!!
