Man, I had an 86 4RUNNER with a Nakamichi system in it as factory equipment. It rocked back then. How the mighty have fallen. On the bright side, it's not an SSL. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!
I didn't think it would even get close, and I'm happy to be wrong. To get the 5400w put on, it could have come from a dare, lol. Nakamichi had some intricate audio equipment in the past. Ty sir for sharing and enjoy your Sunday 👍🤞
I ordered the 3k full bridge on woot for $82 , did 2700 w on big D's dyno. Also ordered the 4 ch but sent me this by mistake . I just kept it and reordered the 4 ch. Keep up the awesome videos. Oh yeah.... you should run Welsh audio 8k's and 4ch in the son's tahoe!
Yes I recently bought the 1500.1, and so far I have no complaints 👌🏽. Yes I did purchase from Woot after watching a review vid on the tube. Nakamichi 👍🏼👍🏼
These Nakamichis you cant lose. Price is amazing and it gets so close to its ratings. I also like the design on the Nakamichis. I bought them all off of woot on Black Friday! AMAZING!
wow this thing surprised me! for an amp they were pushing out the door for 39 bucks. fun stuff, great video keep em coming. if they just take that 5400 nonsense off the packaging
I got a nakamichi 10" touch screen head unit off woot a while back for less than $50. It's very thin and mounts flat. I molded it into the dash in my 2001 f150 lightning. The touch screen is one of the smoothing operating I have ever had. I'm still building the truck so I can't speak on sound quality yet lol
Please do the STINGER 700.1 ..... I'm thinking of getting one for a single P3D2 12" Rockford Fosgate that's been in storage for way too long. I need 600rms that a 90 amp alt can handle.
I was just looking at some Nakamichi amps on Whoot. There's two mono amps on there that have similar specs, but different models and one is silver and one is black. The black one has good dyno numbers from what I've seen. One is the NKSD800 1 and the other is NKTD1000.1. For 60 bucks, 800 watts isn't bad. I believe it did over rated.
Another youtuber tested it out recently. Memiselphi. He was testing it on some subs, and at two ohm, it hit about 800 watts. Dynamic, clipping and 15+ volts. That's pretty legit. I thought for sure it would hit it's ratings at 1 ohm certified. Its a bit short, but for like $45 bucks you can't beat it. Was that big inductor divided into two? I was thinking this was a full bridge amp, but it looks more like a half bridge.
I have the 6 channel and the one big d just reviewed..(mono amp)it was on woot for $70...i have it wired @ 4ohms on 4 grs 8's in a sealed enclosure and it gets down for what it is..all in a old 99 trailblazer with good electrical dsp etc...its really clean budget sq they are not bad amps..i have jl in my work truck honestly cant tell the difference.
@ thanks. I have no idea what braking resistors are. I’ll have to do some research. I’ll definitely be in touch, and checking out the content because it’s a lot of things I’m learning and trying to implement in my content as well. Thanks for the quick response.
I mean for the price, could you go wrong? These were priced better than the ssl, boss, planet audio, power acoustic, etc. and damn near made the rms power. I mean yeah it’s not gonna do hair tricks, but for a budget banger, I’d say the worst that’s gonna happen is your put 40-50 bucks
Great video as always. Merry Christmas to you and your family. Looks like an ok amplifier hopefully not too expensive💰. It will probably heat up if driven hard for long periods of time. There appears to be room for an internal cooling fan; which would go a long way to giving the amp a long lasting lifespan. If a person is educated about subs and chose efficient subwoofers and build a good box that works efficiently. One could do well with an amp like this; assuming the electrical system and wiring can feed it properly. Merry Christmas 🎄 and GOD bless 73 Earnest K5EWM.
@@earnestmatlock9694 thanks Earnest! Yeah, there’s some chiming in saying it can be bout for$40 on Woot. That’s not how it got this one, but $40 is a deal! Merry Christmas!
what do i think, i think it's kind of a disgrace, there was a time back when Nakamichi was actually Nakamichi, their car audio was some of the best of the best. once upon a time back in the day before i was briefly sponsored by Anaba i used to run all Nak stuff, it was expensive but the quality was second to none and Nak amps had headroom that was of the chart. now nakamichi is just another cheap made amp with anemic power and no headroom, the name Nakamichi used to mean something, now it just means another cheap chinese amp, now days i'd take a recoil amp over the nak amp......
c'mon man 800 watts for $39? tell me when you could buy a nak that made 800 watts for $39. 800 great sounding watts for around a nickle a watt. and yeah they do sound great i've listened to them, and i'll bet they last as long as the naks ever did unless you are trying to destruct test them. the 12" nak double stack DVC subs they had for $26 were amazing value as well

Yeah a big Welsh audio sticker across front and back glass would be great for advertising the brand!!@@stereomojo
That Sundown clone is wild. 82 bucks. 😆
Good little amp for entry level subs . Thanks for another great video MOJO Shout out from Chitown Yeeeee Merry Xmas

Wish you would of got that 750.1 to try
800 watt amplifier that did 792 watts is a pass in my opinion. Did it's power basically.
for sure. seems pretty darn efficient as well
It’s a good 800watt amp

It is half bridge. They do have full bridge as well, and I think big d did a review of it. Just harder to find the full bridge.

I was really wanting this amp to do better 😅
Good Morning. It's not on Woot. I'm wondering how much he paid for it.
It was on there it's sold out now
they were $39 on woot. they still had the 500.1 for around 30 bucks and i can tell you that one kicks butt for 30 bucks
@@RavenousBitchProductions I was thinking about getting one just because. The seem to do close to rated besides the 3k. I still bought it though..

kinda weird that the 800.1 does more then this 900.1
I think they are 2 different model lines though, one is a NGO other is NRO.
@@phila8160 still weird I would think the one with the higher number would have more power. But clearly they have more fusing on the 800.1
