Honestly I think Maia is in a good spot now. I know people are upset that it struggles against anything semi-large now but I think that’s good. Maia in legacy was known dor being an amazing counter to small tier Dino’s and I kind of like that it’s a heavyweight, crowd-controlling runner. It’s unique and I don’t think it should be trying to contest larger Dino’s without numbers, since it can just run away from them
It gets pretty much mauled by Dilos now tho. They definitely went too far with the acceleration nerf, it makes bipedal stance pretty much worthless in combat. If that was intentional then they should have sped up the quadrupedal attacks to compensate because they're still too slow for anyone with a frontal lobe to get hit by.
@@ducestat06savage99 You can get around the acceleration nerf. Start in quad, start running (no acceleration nerf in quad) and change stances to bi. Really fast still.
@@ducestat06savage99 learning the quad attacks is way more complicated than the bipedal stun stomp, and there are STILL people who never figured that combo out, playing through the entire horde test. Give people time to learn the timings, and how the matchup should actually be played, and **then** worry about more adjustments if necessary. Because most people are just throwing out random attacks still.
@goose-gz2ik it shouldnt? If it's not good at something it's going to become a pointless never played dino. I just don't think it's a good playable if it only wins by not interacting with others. Even worse if it hard loses to the things that can catch it. Then again not every matchup is supposed to be easy or fair. But if it can't consistently land stun into stomp combos anymore it looks like free dilo food to me.
Great changes indeed. But now seems like majority of the community think maia is too weak now. Not the case imo and people will figure that out with time.

Biped accel should be approximately 3 seconds rather than what feels like 5, imo Quad alts need to be quicker (at least remove the hell-forsaken endlag) I reckon the quad stance should also run a lil' faster, but with a lil' worse turn radius Lmb stomp should definitely knock things down up to 2 tons, and stun things up to 2.5 tons (And lastly, my biased opinion is that the bipedal shoulder slam should deal 100 dmg)
I knew they fixed the Maia vs Diablo matchup when I tried stomping a Teno and it only stunned it rather than knocking it down. By extension I figured a Diablo would probably not even get stunned. Personally I don't think the shove should stun a Diablo either but it's mostly fine now.
Meet a Maia player when going from highlands to the next MZ on the Maia nerf HT as a Dibble main. Was friendly when we walked by, but it can back to me.
Wasn’t immediately attacking me, but rather was indicating that it wanted to fight. I understand the request and delivered. It got some hits, but my maneuverability in spar mode left it in the dust.
Didn’t intend to kill the player. I treated it as a fight to see each other’s abilities. Plus, we were resting which I saw as it being over. But it kept insisting to continue. Was one shot.
@@stargazer3759it doesn’t need to lose all of its stamina from a single attack either. If it running everything down was such an issue they could’ve simply changed the amount of stamina it takes to use the shove ability while running
Dude if that dibble could turn around you would be red at the first attempt. There is no way to kill good dible as maia now. Dibble is too fast for Maia. It's also much harder to hit Dibble as Maia rather than hit Maia as Dibble. Damage in these two Dino is similar but you must be able to hit... It's ok 1v1 but when I see 4 Maia losing to one diblle, noo that is unfair a little bit.

@CharimaEQ quads attacks being to slow is the problem
Lets hope mfs wont cry too hard forcing a buff

Kinda worried that they nerfed it too hard now. Im sure they'll keep tunning it though.
It’s fine if they overnerfed Maia, it shouldn’t be a strong Dinosaur in the first place

i managed to kill one as solo omni its definetively weak now, very slow atacks , movement and its stam drains a lot every time it atacks

The bipedal run acceleration is painful, i cant really imagine it fighting something like allo, would get absolutely demolished with this agility
Thats what the good ol knock down and run away is for. You dont need to fight to the death everytime
I never expected maia to be brawling allo in the first place, it's not a brawler
I don't know what you smoked but Maia isn't meant to fight back against Allo, it's meant to run from it.
