its funny because the previous maia felt like a return of the OP old carno , and now they nerfed it so hard it feels almost exactly like the carno they just replaced , slow clunky stiff and way too stam heavy for its attacks. god forbid the devs ever just do a minor tweak to a OP playable , its always overbuff it to the moon and back or gut the thing into unplayability
why do ppl expect to fight to the death as a maia??? Maia quite obviously outspeeds teno by a good amount but ppl have the mentality to stay around and still try to kill you regardless. These same people will probs complain about maia being too weak and needing a buff, (They do everything but avoid fighting and running away)
Not necessarily, allo I would assume won’t be able to chase things like carno, Maia, galli, Utah, dilo and it would most likely need either an ambush or the grappling ability to catch it.
I think the nerf was a little too much as it seemingly can’t defend its self from most things. Honestly all the things they didn’t nerf were things that did need to change but they over did it to the point where it’s kinda defenseless which is what they wanted to avoid.
They don’t need to “defend” themselves from things, that cannot hope to ever catch them. Teno can only do this, to a Maia that allows it. If the Maia leaves, it wins, but then no clip gets made.

The maia is incredibly slow to land a hit. It's only good for running/escaping. It can not really defend itself. Tenos, dildos, ceras and omnis are way too fast for a maia.
Maia seems balanced. Seeing as Quadruped mode ignores the start up speed. If you switch between both modes its a much better dino. Since it can switch on a dime. This is a good patch

Maia surely seems weak. They’ll probably try to fix that by nerfing pachy
Maybe they nerfed maia a little too hard by making their acceleration while bipedal very slow.
Ofc the solution to this is to nerf pachy
remove its ram and decrease its weight to 400 kg
Pachy obviously needs a nerf, like DUH, it can fight 1 omni? WAY too strong.
@@chrisrizzchris why would they remove their ram? stop making the game less comp
thats the only nerf it needed, but decreasing its turn rate and make almost all his atacks drain stam its to much
@@sku4d_942 I agree, its acceleration nerf was enough but everything else is just overkill
I cant imagine how much of a nightmare it is and will be to balance 60+ Dinos when they struggle with what we have lol.

exactly. maia is just for passive gameplay, if they want to fight as something they should just play as teno or diablo
