The identity disc speaker is a scam too...the audio quality was sub par. I wasn't expecting super-duper quality, but like, the speaker on my phone was better and it was a cheap phone. The identity chips sound bites weren't great either, some of them almost seemed like they were getting cut off. Very glad I didn't waste money on the backpack too.

I think the cameras on Spaceship Earth have higher resolution. It's like they're desperate because they know what's coming in 2 years. We were die hard Disney Parks fans and spent a whole lot of money with them for years. We switched to Universal in 2021 and haven't looked back. The king is about to get usurped.
Being Florida residents and visiting the Magic Kingdom and WWD Resort area for the first time in 1974 and practically living there since that first visit I can tell you that the Disney of today is not even a shell of what it once was. After literally going to every park, eating at every restaurant, staying at every resort over the years, we just couldn’t justify continuing to feed our addiction. It is sad to watch the decline, but our family saw the writing on the wall in 2015 and after almost 50 years of celebrating every birthday, every anniversary, every graduation, every day off, every vacation, weddings, funerals, firsts and lasts did not renew our annual passes and have not nor will ever go back. They have truly taken a magical memory making destination and turned it into a tower of obscene and grotesque terror! It’s just a matter of time before they’re careless disregard for maintenance and upkeep gets a whole bunch of people killed. It truly is alarming to see better maintenance performed by the local traveling county fair 🙃

Hate to mention this but more then things not being repaired I’ve noticed a major decline in cast member interactions. In the past I remember having some of the best interactions and conversations with cast members. However last year I experienced a lot more annoyed and just rude cast members even to the point of nearly making me cry.
Ok I love your honesty on the Theme Parks. I have to say that is the worse. I can't believe but I should that Disney would put something out like that. I am gonna hope and pray they pick up some kinda momentum soon!!!!

The fact that there is no nightly parade,no. Package to your hotel if you buy in the park,having to be on my phone all day,ordering lunch as soon as you get in to park if you want lunch and god forbid if you want to pay with cash they treat you like crap for not having a card linked to. There Disney app I hated my last vacation we left 3 days left in vacation and was so happy to get over to universal and relax and have fun

It's a theme park it's a building site. I get there has to be some construction going on because the new stuff but this is ridiculous you don't have to take two or three yards and you almost the middle of all the work going on. Yes we have lived the pandemic and nothing was done for two years. And they laid off half is work force hiring them back at half wages . But surely the Disney corporation has enough money to shut down the place for a whole year, fix all the little problems. And as for that Tron figure you would have thought they would had,, 3D mapping technology so they would photograph your head and just then print it out so they could place it on a body, $90 dollars tops
You should look up barbie with camera it used to have one bullt into a barbie and you could take pictures..it looked so much better than that and made in like 2013
I came here to see if they just messed my figure up or if it's supposed to look this bad. I know my answer now. Once it's in the box you can't even hit a button to make it light up or anything. You have to open the whole damn box which is a pain. If you could make it light up in the box with a button I'd be more tolerant of it. My son got the bluetooth speaker and it sounds horrible. No bass or any dynamic range. But it does light up with the music in different colors which is cool. I am a die-hard TRON fan with stuff dating back to the 80's, so there's no way I would NOT get the figure. But if you're a casual fan or think it would be cool just to have - it's not. It's shit in a box. I love the arcade box, though. That is actually plastic. The figure is like the TRON ride itself: Quite the presentation, but in the end it's all just pretty lights. Space Mountain is way better.
In my personal opinion I wish they could’ve changed the look of the figure and make it a completely new body mold instead of reusing the old one form when the movie came out. It would’ve been nice if hasbro made one like that
I think you may be overtly critical of the toy. The presentation and the overall experience making it is fun, should you buy it for your child? Probably not because they most likely don’t appreciate anything, they’ll open it and be done with it quickly. Once’s opened toy will then flip around in said box, you could most likely twist tie it back into position. So with that being said, it’s more novelty and should be considered It’s probably for adults and not kids.
...if it's for adults, why shouldn't we expect more for the price we pay? That type of thinking is what allows Disney to get away with charging the prices they do. We SHOULD expect more. That was what Walt founded the parks on. Quality and being above the rest. Heck, Hasbro does the same type of gimmick with scanning your face and putting it on a figure and they don't charge $100.

I saw your video posted on a Disney fan site where they were commenting on the monorail sign. I think Festival of Fantasy is the real eye opener. It is missing the Brave unit, the Tangled unit, the Pinocchio/Fantasia float, the multiple princess float, Maleficent's fire, and multiple dancers. Disney used covid as an excuse for so long but now it's just them being cheap.

Though Universal has been climbing the ladder toward the top dog position, as soon as Epic World opens all bets are off and Disney will finally lose its crown. In my opinion the only reason Disney has even continued to do anything as far as improvement or innovation is because of Universal. Once Universal surpasses them I believe the Disney World theme parks in the Orlando area will go the way of Tokyo Disney and will be licensed out to Companies that will actually bring it up to par with its local competition. I think that has been Disney’s goal for the past 20ish years anyway. To squeeze out every penny they could while doing as little as possible until the time when they could simply lease out the properties and pull in money off of the licensing fees without having to do any of the legwork.

The tron figure is kinda cool, guess I'm an outlier. The price is outrageous, but the custom figure in a arcade machine is actually awesome.

In my personal opinion I wish they could’ve changed the look of the figure and make it a completely new body mold instead of reusing the old one form when the movie came out. It would’ve been nice if hasbro made one like that
I think you may be overtly critical of the toy. The presentation and the overall experience making it is fun, should you buy it for your child? Probably not because they most likely don’t appreciate anything, they’ll open it and be done with it quickly. Once’s opened toy will then flip around in said box, you could most likely twist tie it back into position. So with that being said, it’s more novelty and should be considered It’s probably for adults and not kids.
...if it's for adults, why shouldn't we expect more for the price we pay? That type of thinking is what allows Disney to get away with charging the prices they do. We SHOULD expect more. That was what Walt founded the parks on. Quality and being above the rest.
Heck, Hasbro does the same type of gimmick with scanning your face and putting it on a figure and they don't charge $100.
Kevin - Can you return that figure? Point out all the problems with it. They should offer your money back.

Ugh what's going on with Disney? I recently got the annual passes for WDW but I have to agree Disney isn't keeping up with maintenance, Construction taking forever, firing a bunch of people. And the 17 billion thing yeah I think its all talk, I find it hard to believe.
Uh, i just got one. My face looks a lot better but I'm severely disappointed by the quality of the audio on mine. Also my identity disc sucks and I didn't realize you had to buy extra chips for the colors...
I saw your video posted on a Disney fan site where they were commenting on the monorail sign. I think Festival of Fantasy is the real eye opener. It is missing the Brave unit, the Tangled unit, the Pinocchio/Fantasia float, the multiple princess float, Maleficent's fire, and multiple dancers. Disney used covid as an excuse for so long but now it's just them being cheap.
I like the process of making your own figure, though I feel the technology could be improved upon.

Though Universal has been climbing the ladder toward the top dog position, as soon as Epic World opens all bets are off and Disney will finally lose its crown. In my opinion the only reason Disney has even continued to do anything as far as improvement or innovation is because of Universal. Once Universal surpasses them I believe the Disney World theme parks in the Orlando area will go the way of Tokyo Disney and will be licensed out to Companies that will actually bring it up to par with its local competition. I think that has been Disney’s goal for the past 20ish years anyway. To squeeze out every penny they could while doing as little as possible until the time when they could simply lease out the properties and pull in money off of the licensing fees without having to do any of the legwork.
Spoiler Alert! Things at theme parks are expensive! This is the kind of annoying jerk everyone hates having to walk around at the parks. Kudos to all his fans.

Kevin, if I were you, I would take pictures of all the stuff you see,like the trash on the floor etc and post the pictures on social media. I'm things might change if you show the world what Disney has come to.
I do think the construction is behind but you have remember 2020 and most 2021 happened so honestly it probably just a had a year and a half of construction
