I really like this! Your form is simple and easy to use. My question though, is how do you account for waves of buds? I did an initial count, and I had 5 on one plant... then a couple weeks later, I got another three!
The log is a snapshot in a particular day or month. I realized that tracking the number of buds is not easy once you have over 100... I am thinking of changing the way I track - track how many and variety of flowers I pollinate and then track how many of those become harvestable fruits. I will still track the buds but once it gets into July when a 100 of them shows up, I'll just change to tracking flowers instead.
Thanks for the update Charlie. I subscribed quite a while ago and have enjoyed your content. I have made several versions of your data log. I log the date that I discover each bud, the date that they bloom, the pollen/ mix used to pollinate them, harvest date, fruit weight and brix reading. I’m in Texas, along the lower Gulf Coast. From bud to bloom is about 15-17 days. From bloom to ripe is 30 to 40 days depending on the variety. I currently have 190 buds from the most recent wave that occurred from 8/31-9/2. A lot of the buds will abort. I will remove buds leaving no more than 2 per branch, since most of my plants are in their first year of production. I lost 40 of my most mature plants last winter when the temperatures dropped to 26 degrees for several hours.
Thanks for sharing. I will be changing my log also. With so many fruits this year, I'll track the quantity of flowers that I pollinate each day instead of every bud that I see.
I only have one dragon fruit plant. my first fruit came out looking like a vietnamese white. Now, I have a second fruit, looking like an american beauty, according to you talking about their shapes.

Love the updates and the quantitative approach of tracking your varieties.

I was reading on reddit yesterday about how poor cosmic charlie sets fruit. Hope you have good luck with yours.
Just subscribed, congrats on 1000!🎉
Thank you
carefull that the variety Zamorano is sterile, so is not self-fertile as you have noted on the sheet. Unless u have a "fake" variety of zamorano.

My first one got polinated in August 9. Now I have 10 total in fruit and flower. I feel like they will all just rot in the winter
