Ok so this is bugging me for a long time but I have to ask.
I know there will be a part of this series that combines all the alabasta arc parts in one video.
Do you know when it is coming out? Because, and I'm sorry for saying this, I don't want to get excited for a new part just to get something I already watched. I know I'm not subscribed but I only care about One Piece. So please consider telling us about this.
      Keep up the great work.

Mind you this is not a spoiler of any kind because the question has not yet been answered in the manga...
But there is an incredibly vital line that you did not respond to and I want to make sure you note it for your own ability at theory craft.
      "its not "he" but "they"..."
This was way before the gender bs and so the implication is that pie man is a "plural" not a "singular" unit.
Now even if that impression is wrong; both Luffy and Zoro being effected by pie guy the same way to pose such a phrase is in it self very odd.
Its about third on my list mysteries I want answered.

Skypea is my fave arc if not top 3 at worst. Unfair as some might claimed it to be I group these satellite arcs into the main one (saga seems to big to fit). So yes of Jaya+Skypea I see the best of One Piece potential.
The world is so explosively built upon I question why others seem to be so blind to all the thick as gel foreshadowing in every nook and cranny.
From this to the end of Enes Loby+post Enes Loby arcs feels like the middle of the story altho by count it clearly is not. Its just I frame things as mirrors and cycles so its a middle in that since. Basicly before after mirror each other... then the cycle goes on to the next set. Its a feeling and others might not share it.
But all the new and different stuff found in arc is just crazy.
I mean You saw what happened to Enel as 10 more vids means your up to 198 episode wise. So I must add that in the manga we see the moon Enel went towards and what he experienced there. In short Oda probably has plans of Enel returning in some way... and that has me hyped to see why and how.
Look up Eneru's Cover page story to see for yourself.

6:55 bit of interesting trivia with the Merry right here. These “repairs” that were applied after the explosion in Ape’s Concert was actually the anime applying properly all the damage and shoddy patch jobs that the Going Merry had accumulated and kept over time in the manga, but was swept under the proverbial rug in the anime up to this point.
8:01 also fun fact, the ship falling on them was where the original 4 kids dub ended.

About wins 4463-4466 (or rather the sequence they are about):
This scene may prove to be very important in the long run!
If you pay attention to what's really happening in this scene, you may notice that even though this person is talking to all three of them, it's only Nami who's answering him. Luffy and Zoro don't address him or his views, as if sensing there's something wrong with him.
When Nami asks them "What was he about?", both Luffy and Zoro correct her: It's not *he* but probably *them* .
Nami then asks if they're talking about his crew or something, but the boys don't answer. From the way they act, it's clear that they didn't mean his crew.
This scene together with a few other hints have created one of the most popular fan theories in the entire series. Who this person really is and what is he really about.

Oda stated once that Luffy usually doesn't kill his opponents, because he views destroying their dreams as a way bigger punishment than death.
That's also part of the reason he doesn't fight Bellamy. There is no point fighting against a guy who already stopped dreaming, something which is pretty much Luffy's definition of a pirate.
Unless of course there is a bigger reason to fight, but that isn't the case here.

    About win 4468:
You are absolutely correct about this and I love how you count a win every time for it.
    But also:
In this scene, Sanji replies that he had heard the story many times over, even though we as the audience have never seen Usopp telling this story to any of the crew who came after him. This implies that the crew have many interactions during their long journey that we the viewers/readers are not privy to.
I know that it should go without saying that we don't see every waking moment of these characters. It's just that in most works of fiction, it's like the characters are put into stasis when the audience is not there to watch them.
Personally, I am so used to it that the first time I watched this scene, it really came as an epiphany to me 😅
But the OnePiece world truly is a real, moving and breathing world. There are various cultures, each and every character is their own person and live their lives wether the protagonists exist or not, and the protagonists themselves have their own interests and habits and daily interactions without us readers/watchers breathing down their necks.
(The middle one is especially driven home in the manga, where we often catch up with past secondary characters and places we have visited before through the Cover Stories. Unfortunately the anime has adapted only a handful of them 😕)

    • @cullenlatham2366
      @cullenlatham2366 Месяц назад +1

from what ive heard and personally experienced, the reasons boil down to 2 points: the anime drawing out the saga to take way too long- even when bingeing, and the disconnected feeling it leaves in hindsight as an isolated world that cant really affect the surface any more than in the visitors/tourists who return from the island. Regardless of if that latter point eventually changes, the dry spell between the massive revelation and leaving skypiea does a lot to undermine it unless the event itself is world-shattering.
As great as OP is, there is still a more gradual power creep, and even the direct benefits the crew get from the sky island visit eventually become obsolete or otherwise abandoned as anything more than tools they incorporate into more complex machines, ignoring how they could keep a supply of them to tinker with to their full potential.

I heard the same thing and I do mention it around Part 30 I believe, but for me, (and I talk about this in the videos too) it went from being a clear #3/3 Saga to me and by the end shot up to #1/3. Gotta make sure they don't catch up to the manga, and "no-one likes fillers" right :') ) The second part I also get, but I think that kind of stuff just doesn't really bother me personally, and there's so much hidden "set up" (especially in Jaya) that I just really enjoy figuring them all out haha

    • @cullenlatham2366

@@hannelorek.2013 yeah, it is not a problem exclusive to OP, and bleach might hold the crown for its reputation, but the quality of OP only highlights the issues. OP has much longer arcs that feel shorter than skypiea, simply because every episode is clearly building to something, so the few that do begin to drag feel so much worse by comparison. Dressrosa is the other one that immediately comes to mind in having the same issues, but at least that one can be kinda excused by noticing the subtle shift between 2 sub arcs it has going on; in the least spoiler way possible: the initial distraction of the island and the "mystery" that must be solved to leave. Skypiea is almost there, but that final third or so that elevates the plot because it is finally building to something gets undermined by the fact you meander for double the time doing almost nothing of longterm consequence.
At the same time, i will admit OP is so long that, as much value as i might get out of rewatching, i have a hard time justifying it when i let myself fall behind and have plenty of new stuff to binge when i return. It is possible i am wearing mire-covered glasses (the opposite of the rose-tinted nostalgia goggles) and the issues are not nearly as bad as i remember, but i also know i am not alone in having a more negative memory of events than the average OP story, filler or no. Nothing is so offensively bad that i cant enjoy others gushing over it and seeing value where i didnt (possibly even mending my association of the events), it is just not in my list of favorite arcs.

About wins 4355-6, it's not that the book is randomly in Arabasta; recall that just before they left the palace, Cobra gave Nami permission to take any books she liked from the library, since he'd already read them, and she helped herself. Thus, Nami took a haul that included the Rainbow Mist series, but accidentally dropped the last one, for Igaram to find and reshelve. Robin just happened to find them interesting enough to read first, as she presumably burns her way through all the books on the Merry. But, since they didn't have the last one, Robin didn't know how the whole thing would end, so she couldn't sort-circuit the story.

29:13 This piece of information is extremely important for a revelation that will happen waaay down line!
Sanji says that he was born in the North Blue but raised in the East.
Interestingly enough, Sanji says that nonchalantly, like he has told them before (which is a big lie and he knows it 😅).
The crew glosses over it for now because it doesn't seem important and they have more urgent matters at hand.
But for us viewers, this is big news!
If you remember the world map (as imperfect as it is), you know that the North and East Blue are divided by the Red Line which is impossible to cross unless you go up the Reverse Mountain. But this would get you from the North Blue to the Grand Line, as the Reverse Mountain is the entrance to the Grand Line. Climbing up the Red Line from the North Blue to get to the East Blue is not possible, at least to our knowledge at this point.
So how did kid Sanji make this journey? 🤔 (The youngest we have seen Sanji is when he was 9 years old working as a kitchen boy aboard the cruise ship Orbit, just before he met Zeff which took place in the East Blue)
Also, if you remember, back when they were trying to enter the Grand Line (Reverse Mountain arc), Sanji was behaving kind of fishy when they were talking about crossing the Red Line.

    • @cullenlatham2366
      @cullenlatham2366 Месяц назад +1

well, i cant claim i am fully caught up to know just how much is revealed, but we know zeff has grandline experience thanks to the logbook he offers as aid before luffy rejects it. from there, we also know sanji was a ship's cook before that, even if we lack the info on the specifics of what those ships were doing. Finally, we have revelations that occur on whole cake, which together makes it seem like he would have no trouble with the otherwise impossible journey, and might not even fully understand the implications itself.
I have to admit i never really took the time to consider it all, nor see all the subtle pieces at play as a binger who is currently sitting at the start of wano's "roofpiece" as the crunchyroll comments were referring to as peak, and as much as i try to avoid spoilers, i know the general twist that is coming, but all this context is mostly just to say i didnt catch exactly what you claim is so suspicious about the crew's entrance to the grand line and how sanji reacted. But i also know it is hard to get into details here without spoiling later events. Let's just say whole cake's revelations dont put it beyond the realm of possibility that his background involved the tech to make the journey and break all the rules even if sanji himself was only along for the ride until he fell off the plot train in the east blue, where early OP coverage events could pick up.

I was just trying to point out that there are things about Sanji that he's hiding from the crew and that will be revealed later.
There are many hints to his past before Zeff even from as early on as Reverse Mountain. I was just trying to point them out in case he's interested in theorising. Not all fans are into this kind of thing, but personally it's one of the things I enjoy being part of the OnePiece community.
Also, please note that I wasn't alluding to anything past the point you are in. I just didn't want to mention Whole Cake, since many consider mentioning future arcs' names as spoiler.

@@evelynarhondi6375 nah, i am a bit of a theorist, too, but as a binger i dont have as much time to sit and think about the smallest of details and there explainations. I took note simply because i felt i missed something and appreciate any chance i get to increase my love for Oda's ability to foreshadow events long in advance.
As for arc names, i am more in the camp that an island name is not a spoiler, but the names that include a central plot thread are. It isnt super easy to list examples that are not a spoiler at this point, but the best i can come up with is "buggy's introduction" vs "jaya". The former spoils a character who reappears enough to be considered a spoiler, the latter is just the name of an island with very little clue as to why they visit or what complications they face. The lines get a bit blurry when the gimmick of the island is disclosed in its name like skypiea, but that mostly ends by the point of the time skip when the focus goes from pure exploration to having specific goals known before they even reach the island where it must be addressed. That said, i fully respect how blurry the line is, and can only do so much in that gap between not spoiling future events for new audience members and pointing to events i am trying to reference enough to not confuse the one i am conversing with. 1000+ episodes'll do that. XD

No wins for Zoro jumping in to fish Chopper out when he jumped ship?😂 It always makes me laugh
Edit: I thought the reveal that Sanji wasn’t actually from East Blue was also very interesting, since it was kind of a mysterious detail

This was the first time I saw genuine embarrassment in an anime character. Instead of the sweat drops, the face going full red like a thermometer or awkwardly laughing while scratching the back of their head, Nami looks extremely vulnerable and I feel for her, I'd just want to get out of there.

Jaya is so short, how can it be considered slow? xD

@@AnimeWins skypiea. the anime has some pacing issues with it, and when considering how short jaya is and how skypiea connects to it, in the broader hindsight of the series, the arcs feel less distinct and more like a prologue before the main events of skypiea, bunching the two together. Jaya itself has some great moments, but many get overshadowed by the pacing of skypiea when including any filler content that i dont really keep track of as an anime watcher unless there is a noticeable disconnect between the canon events beforehand (like getting distracted from the main plot to time travel into a holiday story or animating the romance dawn concept that later evolved into the OP we know today), or the internet osmosis occurs.
