I Let It In And It Took Everything is certainly my AOTY. Learning this one was a bit ambitious, as the only info i had was the tuning. So no live videos or covers to learn from. But it was a welcomed challenge. Learned by ear, tuning is ADADGBE (the high e isn't used)

This is a great cover, thank you so much for sharing. I’d love to play this but I have no idea how to tune my 6-string that way without snapping the low strings.
I don't think down-tuning a 6 string guitar will make the strings snap tbh
You wouldn’t snap your strings though. It’s basically drop D from the 5th (A) string up, with a low A (tuned to the same octave as a bass’s A) on the 6th (E) string.
If anything your strings will be super floppy if you don’t have the proper gauge for them, as most strings are a full Perfect 4th lower than standard tuning, with the exception of the low string being downtuned a Perfect 5th.
This guy is playing it on a 7 string, which is kind of a lil mini cheat code to playing this song, but to be accurate with how Loathe plays, you would need an extended-range baritone guitar. Eric Breckenridge, the guitarist of Loathe actually uses a whopping 30 inch Gretsch baritone guitar with a high bass string for his 6th string to obtain these crazy drop tunings. The string is so thick (string gauge of 108) that him and his guitar tech had to modify the stop tail and drill out the hole to be bigger! But he can reach insane tunings, like double drop D, double drop C#, and drop E! Crazy shit!

@@xaxsimplexescapex Not usually, I tend to learn stuff at a decent rate and then record the covers and move on. There's some Loathe tabs out there tho. Someone tabbed this song out already

There's a tab for Screaming, that'd be easier to learn from than a tutorial. New Faces I can't play without a bass VI tho. I also would have to relearn the song cause it's been years since I've played it

The one on Ultimate Guitar is pretty accurate. I don't use the high e string, so a 7 string isn't necessary for this song
