- Spend the night in a luxury Tokyo Hotel Room, with a beautiful view of Tokyo and the Tokyo Tower. And again, sleeping in this super luxurious hotel won't cost you a thing, other than internet bandwidth of course! I may have gone a little 'Akira' with the neon signs outside the windows, but I thought they looked nice with the rain on the window etc, so I left them in there. Sleep to the sounds of torrential rain and thunder, I made sure the windows and doors are closed and the floor is not 'wet' ;) With some splashing sounds outside the window to go with the heavy rain. With high quality 48Khz audio, and 4K visuals to get a great view of Tokyo in Japan? I have put some lights animating on the buildings in the background, I had trouble finding exactly what the buildings are, so please let me know in the comments if you know of any other iconic buildings in this scene, the only one I'm sure of the Tokyo Tower.
The image of Tokyo is from iStock, the rest of the scene was made in Unreal Engine.
The audio was edited using Reaper out of may different sounds to create a sense of space to the rain. The audio loop in this video runs for 30 minutes, the video loop is around 3 minutes

I also remember being at a hotel like that too! The one I stayed at was called the Aman Tokyo. It's a spectacular hotel! I cannot describe how wonderful my stay there was! My family and I would usually go there at least once every year but unfortunately due to the pandemic I haven't been for a while. I agree, this video is a great way to revisit the memories I've had there! So nostalgic 🙂

I'm the same way. I'm 21 & I've lived on Hawai'i my whole life. I've only been to one state being Arizona, but other than that I've only traveled Inter-Island. It's been hard trying to stay afloat financially espcially after the most devastating fire which destroyed Lahaina which was a very special place for many of us. But I will continue to work twice as hard so that I can help my O'hana financially, so that we can move into our own home and we can travel and see the world.
Just imagining me , sitting on the bed, looking outside the windows , admiring the view and playing my guitar. Even thinking about it makes me feel so happy.
There's some really nice details going on here. The small scattered raindrops hitting the fogged windows creating a very authentic random pattern. The water stripes and the lighting. The rain condensed into smoke flying past the building. Superb. You can even see what water falls heavy and what's light rain. The motion in the orange light bowls, the whole atmosphere is a delight to watch. Thanks for making this.

I used to think that there were half-demon, half-human women for real in Tokyo because I wanted to marry one 😆, and even though I've learned later on the "Ryoko's" are not real, my love for Japan didn't fade away; it's still strong til this day.

its got that distinct anime cityscape feel to it but it also feels real to look at which from what Ive seen, is quite difficult to capture.

my sleep was so awesome using this video, first good night sleep in weeks.
I stayed in the Tokyo Hilton in Shinjuku when I first arrived to Japan back in the early 90s (I'm still here!) It was on the 32nd floor, if memory serves. Very similar to this (of course the Mori Bldg in Roppongi, seen here, wasn't built yet). Except my room had a tatami section by the window, sort of a half western style, half Japanese style room. I did have a view of the government 'Tax Towers', as they were known, as well as the cityscape stretching out as far as the eye could see. And it was rainy season, too. I felt I had entered my dream locale: Deckard's apartment in Blade Runner.
