They were definitely influenced by the Deftones and maybe a little incubus. Witch isn't a bad thing. Of course new bands are going to be influenced by the bands before them. Just like I'm sure there are some kids jamming out with these guys as their influence. Keeps the music alive

I hadn't heard of this band before then I went to an I Prevail concert and got to see Islander preform, they were epic and most definitely have become a constant replay on my playlist! Y'all are incredible thank you for coming down to Texas and please keep the music flowing!!
Held up the lead singer at RockVille in Jacksonville, he gave me his shades! Bad ass show. Their energy was crazy. And for some reason they were the only band who suggested a wall of death and it was bad ass! Wonderful band!
I saw these guys at mayhem fest in aug of 2014 and loved their sound. Definitely a deftones feel live as well as sound. I bought their album afterwards. I hope they keep it up.

You heard it here first ppl. If this song doesn't go viral after having this band open for KoRn on their 20th anniversary tour...then i literally give you permission to assign me partial blame. I say that bcuz I saw this band perform live last night at The Fillmore in Silver Spring,MD and let me tell you folks, they stood out. And this song in particular, for me at least. I had absolutely no idea who this band was going into this concert (which I suppose is a good thing because I then went into it with an open mind), and when they were finished their set, I knew right away that I would be Youtubing and few of their songs when I got home. And sure enough, I did. So again, you heard it here first ppl. I PROMISE you this song (and I hope band) is going to go viral. Basically makes me cry and get goosebumps at the same time over how good/beautiful this song is.
+mrwillywonka I was at that same show man, my second concert. When I tell you I was UPSET nobody seemed to be jamming but me and the 4 I brought...jeez. You remember when Mikey was like "there's a lot of dead bodies in here!" But Suicide Silence came on and everyone rocked their eyeballs out. I was butthurt. We still talk about how much of a shame that was, I mean come on! If youre coming to see the 20th anniversary tour where theyre playing their old stuff, you have to be a fan of Nu-metal or at least the sound. I was looking around like "wtf more do you people want????"

been obsessed with this song, since I heard they were touring with korn... got to see them live, excellent performance. and great vibes. They do remind me a lot of Deftones and Glassjaw. not even gonna front, one of their guitar riffs in this song is the same as the ending guitar riff of "Rosemary" by Deftones. but the song is awesome af.

+Viewing Account Actually, the riffs are different. Yes, they have a similiar structure, but they have a different rhythm and picking pattern. And plus, Islanders' riff is in drop B while Deaftones' riff is in drop G. To be closer to what you were trying to accomplish, there riff was inspired by Deaftones.
