Honestly, I never felt like Crow was ever that close with Rean. I wish their friendship had more time to grow. Like, they really nail it in, because it would have really helped me feel the sort of rivalry they have going. Maybe it’s more immersive to bond with crow alot in CS1.
Can honestly say it is much better if you do his bonding events in 1 as it becomes clear that Rean in general feels closer to Crow then anyone else in class 7 at the time as Crow hid his secret and helped him save Elise he also helped Rean study for the midterms half way through the game and was supporting him from the start so in that sense yeah it feels much more inpactful when he betrays Rean in the end.

SPOILERS FOR COLD STEEL 1 AND 2 IN THE COMMENT SECTION. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK!
Thought i was the only one who felt this way. The ending scenes make it as if him and rean were super close but... I never that myself. Maybe if he joined class vii at the beginning of the game or just earlier in the game than he actually does, there would be been more time for them get closer.
If you don't do his bonding events then it will feel like that.
we didn't feel like it because the game has time skip per month in it
