What in the fuck even happened with that fight? Did Arseid and McBurn just get bored after a while and go home? Edit: Actually I guess I have the same question for the other fights in that castle where people randomly show up to help. I guess I can see Duvalie or the Zephyr guys saying "eh, job is over" after Rean and company win.
I love how Rean normally says things like "let's go / ikuzo" when it's his turn in combat, but when he transforms, he still says it, but completely monotone and emotionless. That really sealed it for me. It felt like it wasn't really Rean anymore, just a shell of what he used to be.

@@wazyblitz9485 I feel like this was the only fight in CS 1 that couldn't be easily cheesed with AT Delay spam because he's like the only character in the game fully immune to it, not even the boss at the end of the final dungeon was immune to it.

The Almighty Conflagartion. That duel, oh Aidios! That and Rean's 'hitting-rock-bottom' scene...plus the fights with the archaism, Victor Arseid and C...If this track plays...I know I'll yeast myself. Trails has such awesome music. JDK has a place in my collection right next to Nobuo Uematsu and Yasunori Mitsuda.

There's a certain battle towards the end of the game where this plays. (The final fight before the final chapter to avoid spoilers). On hard mode, it took me 43 minutes to take this boss down and not once did I get tired of this theme.
Gosh, The the first time I fought C, I only won because of Alisa's auto revive. Fighting Vulcan and C right after was so damn hard. Really amazing segment though.
If you don't abuse certain tactics (in which case every boss is super easy), C is probably the hardest boss of the game. Even Loa Erebonius was easier for me.

Now that I've finished the Cold Steel Arc, this is probably the most underused Battle Theme in the series. Only appears in 3 battles in CS1 and 1 battle in CS2. And some of those are either semi-scripted or entirely scripted. Would've loved to see this theme come back in CS3 and 4, such as when Rean first activates his Spirit Unification in Chapter 2 of CS3, or fighting McBurn and his associate in Act 3 of CS4. Belief was able to come back with it's SAV version, and Unfathomed Force came back in its original form too. So why not Exceed!
I really like the falcom's music in this series and Atlus' music in Persona. Persona music tends to be really easy to leave on during homework or studying on your own, just to pass time, since it's so soft. TCS music gets your adrenaline going.
In terms of andrenaline rush songs Ys, also from Falcom has everything you need. Hell, this song sounds like an Ys song, reminds me a bit of Valestein Castle (no relation to Sara Valestein)

I'm going to be real, if Falcom gets a rep for Smash, it's going to be Adol. Nothing wrong with The Legend of Heroes series, but Ys is more popular and more influential. Though I would love to see a Kiseki Rep someday. Estelle, Lloyd, Rean, or Van would be amazing in Smash.

I've always thought this, but this song sounds a lot more like an Ys soundtrack, just because of the guitar. At least the earlier versions of Ys. I know both series are made by Falcom. I've played them all.

It was a real nightmare, no lies. Said chapter's final boss fight was amazing. I narrowly got my victory.
