Agreed. Not many boss fight gave me such satisfying battle with epic OST. I enjoy every bit of it.
@@wazyblitz9485 I feel like this was the only fight in CS 1 that couldn't be easily cheesed with AT Delay spam because he's like the only character in the game fully immune to it, not even the boss at the end of the final dungeon was immune to it.

when i heard this on rean's first transformation event, its really gave me goosebump
that time made me wanting to write a novel with a character like rean i got so many ideas 😂😂
Yet it took them ANOTHER game to make it usable
I love how Rean normally says things like "let's go / ikuzo" when it's his turn in combat, but when he transforms, he still says it, but completely monotone and emotionless. That really sealed it for me. It felt like it wasn't really Rean anymore, just a shell of what he used to be.

xXiaoDrag0n Holy freakin' phantasmal blaze, I reached this point a few days ago. I can't believe how perfectly awesome that was.
What in the fuck even happened with that fight? Did Arseid and McBurn just get bored after a while and go home?
Edit: Actually I guess I have the same question for the other fights in that castle where people randomly show up to help. I guess I can see Duvalie or the Zephyr guys saying "eh, job is over" after Rean and company win.

Dunno why they have it say "Now" in the english VA, it sounds really weird hearing Now,Now,Now every turn lol. The japanese version says ikuzo (let's go) which sounds much better.
Dude you put up quite a good fight against us. Almost wiped my team a few times.
It has a weird combo of the biggest thrill of your life and an inevitable hopelessness to it.
Just coming back to this song to revisit it after listening to Kuro no kiseki boss theme 1.
Dude when that theme kicked in I was so hyped. Jindo brought nostalgia and somethig fresh at the same time. So good.

This track really imprinted the entire series for me. I really think it's the best turn based rpg of all time. Change my mind
no one can change your mind, we can only agree, the Trails games are in fact THE best Turn-Based RPGs out there.
Yeah, persona is good too, but Trails series are more epic, and also this world building with orbal technology is pretty cool

This freaking masterpiece is one of Falcom's best!!! It's in the S-Tier Hall of Fame alongside Innocent Primeval Breaker, To Make the End of Battle, Sophisticated Fight Zanmai, Fate of the Fairies Zanmai, Overdosing Heavenly Bliss JDK Band Version, D.A.Y Break, Genesis Beyond the Beginning, Silver Will (Golden Wings), Cry For Me Cry For You, Trails in the Skies, and so many more! The best of the best of the best! :D
While it is good, I wouldn't call it the "best of the best"
The first song that hooked me to the series..when i realize this was not your usual fun school JRPG
The dead people in the prologue weren't enough to show you it wasn't a kid game?
There's a certain battle towards the end of the game where this plays. (The final fight before the final chapter to avoid spoilers). On hard mode, it took me 43 minutes to take this boss down and not once did I get tired of this theme.
I know who you are taking about, I beat it on my first try, but that fight was a NIGHTMARE!
It was a real nightmare, no lies. Said chapter's final boss fight was amazing. I narrowly got my victory.
Glad I'm not the only one who took 40ish minutes to beat this monster
I know this OST first played when rean transformed, but I ended up associating this ost with C and the ILF.
words cant describe how amazing this song is in the times it appeared in the game. the title says it all.
The opening to this song is what hype is made of.
I wish this played during CS4. Imagine the duo fight at the end of act 1 with this theme in the background.

Gosh, The the first time I fought C, I only won because of Alisa's auto revive. Fighting Vulcan and C right after was so damn hard. Really amazing segment though.
If you don't abuse certain tactics (in which case every boss is super easy), C is probably the hardest boss of the game. Even Loa Erebonius was easier for me.

That duel, oh Aidios! That and Rean's 'hitting-rock-bottom' scene...plus the fights with the archaism, Victor Arseid and C...If this track plays...I know I'll yeast myself. Trails has such awesome music. JDK has a place in my collection right next to Nobuo Uematsu and Yasunori Mitsuda.

I really like the falcom's music in this series and Atlus' music in Persona. Persona music tends to be really easy to leave on during homework or studying on your own, just to pass time, since it's so soft. TCS music gets your adrenaline going.
In terms of andrenaline rush songs Ys, also from Falcom has everything you need. Hell, this song sounds like an Ys song, reminds me a bit of Valestein Castle (no relation to Sara Valestein)

You don't believe that yourself, do you? Although, I must admit that this would be pretty cool and there were lots of options for his moveset.
I'm going to be real, if Falcom gets a rep for Smash, it's going to be Adol. Nothing wrong with The Legend of Heroes series, but Ys is more popular and more influential. Though I would love to see a Kiseki Rep someday. Estelle, Lloyd, Rean, or Van would be amazing in Smash.

That or AT Delay. Unfortunately a few bosses are completely immune to it. But that’s easy, just use Eva tanks against them.

Rean transforming and calling Valimar for first time really made the game for me. I thought the game was just your average school jrpg. Boy was I wrong. Lol
I kind of wish this was used at least one more time in Cold Steel 4 or Hajimari lol
Every time i hear this this just reminds me how great this game is! Plus, it gives off a blazblue type of feel to it very strongly so this theme is really epic in so many ways^^

1:05 sticks in my memory because that was when Angelica's punch got a KO on C. The fight ended shortly after everyone dumped their s-crafts on him. It was hype AF.

린 각성 브금으로 많이 알려져 있는데 사실 C와의 진정한 전투전에서 나올 때 bgm으로써 더 소름 돋았음. 전투의 절박함, 긴장감 압도적인 상대라는 느낌이 다 느껴짐 이 전투 ㅈ같이 빡쎈데 그 빡침을 잊게해주는 명곡 특히 극후반 신스로 반키 올린 클라이막스 반주가 소름돋음
One thing I will say about this series, just on its own, The music is beyond epic
Iconic music. Legendary composition and arrangement, the guitar work is impeccable. The bass, strings and organ are also amazing.

@@d3ly746 or be behind C, he can only hit what's in front of him, so try to have at least your healer/reviver with adamant guard and then divide your team in 2 pairs, both attackers from one side of C and the healers on the opposite, if you draw C's aggresiveness towards the attackers and are prepared you'll do well

Arseid in my opinion is one of the few RPG characters who can take on and beat Sephiroth.
Why does this not have a Super Arrange version? Imagine how even more hype that would be.
Because Jindo is the composer of this track, and since he's responsible for the Super Arranged Version of Falcom OSTs it would be odd for Jindo to do a SAV of a track he'd originally composed.

Best part is that Cold Steel is just an arc, the series is all 10 (and counting) Trails games.

I've always thought this, but this song sounds a lot more like an Ys soundtrack, just because of the guitar. At least the earlier versions of Ys. I know both series are made by Falcom. I've played them all.

I think about eight or nine. This game does have a lot of great battle themes.
And it's really incredible how falcom does not repeat parts of the musics over and over like other games do. It's almost 4 minutes of a full song.

Holy fuck I got lucky and beat him my first attempt only because Rean guarded Alisa from that and both of them lived.
I restarted like a madman until I got to know C's S-craft hitbox
It was so bs how they made you fight C RIGHT after beating V tho and didn't even bother regenerating your cp that was probably one of the reasons I was getting my ass kicked constantly the first time.
